I think chariots are fine (better for avoiding opportunistic threats because chariots can cover 3 cities pretty easily) but I'd like to have archery as well. I would propose AH/Wheel->Wheel/AH->Archery->Pottery.

Also, do we have a warrior in the cap? It will be really funny if Krill just knocks us out of the game here.

Can Archery wait until after Pottery? We really want to get our cheap Granaries, and we really want to cottage those Floodplains.

I seem to remember a game where some people were not very worried about an ottoman attack but I'm sure it had nothing to do with this group

But in real according to your screenshots Krill seems to be quite a distance away so besides from removing a dangerous (for victory that is) opponent he has little to gain. so No worries

Okay T34 played.

Hurricane beat the lion with only 1 hit (1.7/2) but can't heal as there's a bear next to him this turn. He moved NE and found more flood plains and a jungle gems.

Our settler is due on T36 but we don't have any units that can guard him. Our 2 exploring warriors are too far. He can stay on our borders for T36, then moves T37 to the PFH 1E of the city site (1NE of pigs), and can move-settel on T38.

Our options:
a) Send him with no escort
b) Delay the settler to get our southern warrior Hurricane in position - he can make it to the hill T40, and the settler completes with no chops on T39.
c) Delay the settler to put a warrior out of the capital (probably delays to T38 with a chop into a warrior as well)
d) Make a deal with Krill to fogbust for us

I think I favor c-d-b-a.

Losing a Settler this early in the game would be crippling. I don't think Krill will be interested in fog busting for us, he's pretty intent on scouting. So I think I favor c).
