Firsty found something strange. Lots of AIs are lacking BW, like Jonas - he has tons of 3 strenght warrior crap everywhere. Same story for Malakim, no copper connected. Anyway here's the set.

Got an event toward edu, speeded it up by 1t. I revolted to apprenticeship when I got it.




I captured one barb city in the middle, next to our capital. It's rather poor but it can at least work two silks + some farms and mines. Also Mahala sent this amusing army to kill us.




Yeh, it did nothing. Literally just sat there.

Yeah that sucks, but now to more happy things. Next player should probably steal this city from the Amurites. It's jungled but eventually ok.




Also I think our northern cities need something (else) to do. They can build axes like every 2-3 turns - which I guess is ok but we neither really need that much defenders at the moment nor can really pay for them. For this reason both are running max GPP, the Yggdrasil city can get GPP out in ~10 turns.

Maybe we could convert some of the farms up there to Cottages now we have Edu. I noticed you razed the Amurite border city rather than keeping. I know it was a bit iffy, but it did snare a mana node...

Nice set!

I wonder whether it would be at all practicable to conquer the Amurites in the near future, perhaps with catapults?

The new city looks like a decent place to sit the capital, which should help, even with City States. Will be a while, of course, but do you think that's worth more than Hippian or Amurite palaces?

Yeah, I didn't consider the mana node. The city was unable to make any farms (that one farm was taken by Amurite culture) and was on desert - so I felt the city was just too bad to keep. Later of course the mana node would have been handy... sorry about that if you thought it was a keeper.

We could conquer the Amurites in the near future. They basically only have Archers, which is quite bad for attacking purposes but with cats doable. Though, we can't keep any cities we conquer with soldiers, so there's that - meaning we'd have to raze all those cities. Or figure out a way to how take them with Loki? I can't think of any other than pressing enough culture and flipping them when they revolt - and I'm not even 100% sure if that'd work.

I'd actually be happier to wait Amurites to settle more cities which we can steal. I'd like to have more firebows/wizards cities.

Do you mean to put palace to the middle (city stolen from barbs)? Yeah, that could work. Elohim palace is pretty poor though, so later when we have adepts we sure want to build Amurite's to get meta/body.

Oh, I didn't realise that was part of our restriction. Definitely not worth it then, I was mostly just thinking about increasing our land.

Yeah, that restriction might turn out to be too hard on us but who knows. Yeah, we need more land, quality land preferably. Malakim has almost 10 cities now, some of them around at size 20 eek.

We're playing with the OCC setting, so we couldn't keep cities even if we wanted to.


I'd prefer we build a Hippus palace, just because we need horses.

We could raze - our finances are horrible - but it's close to the cap, and I can't see us going anyway vs. the big shots without more cities.

I've been cycling a few units down south, as Rhoanna has demilitarized our border quite a bit, and they're both equally furious.

She flashed some more in the area but they haven't approached.

Just saved gold, not sure what to spend it on. Cottages will hopefully improve things, but I'm not sure if that'll be enough to make our research mediocre enough to limp to decent techs.
