OT6mn are at war with Dantski, Ipecac and me now...


I've got 12 axes, 9 WC, 8 Cats, 2 Spears and a Longbow. They have 3 Cats, an Axe, and 11 Spears nearby. I kinda think they'll empty the city and run for it, but hopefully not...


Unfortunately I'm on holiday this weekend so crappy laptop with no screenshots will stymie reporting frown.

Turn 142

I was a bit surprised to see Horchers, but there aren't enough to cause us trouble just yet.


I lost a Cat and a couple of Axes taking the city and gained 89 capture gold pirate.


Unfortunately we're two XP short of the Great General so I was tempted to move a bunch of units to the forest hill fort (including the G1 longbow which I *think* gets +170% defence eek making it defend at 16.2 strength...) Then I pillaged the city ruins and road to prevent them heading back my way. I'm building plenty of Triremes to defend our coasts, but I dunno what sort of retaliation to expect. The good news is we'll have city visibility on Lion Kingdom and HabbaHabba next turn, so we'll get advanced warning.

Do we want Longbows or Spears to deal with Horchers?

What was the reason for not taking the city (not saying you should have, just curious of thinking behind the decision)?

1. I have approx 50% of the power of OT6mn, so I don't see myself holding it
2. They have catapults and horse archers, which would make it pretty easy to take back, even with longbows
3. I'm not trying to win this game - just to make sure OT6mn don't
4. If they recapture or resettle they have flexibility about which coast to attack which I don't like the idea of

biggrin I'm threatening Lion Kingdom (their second city) with a few chariots, but I expect it to be filled with spears next turn. Mostly I plan to dump enough units into this fort to really piss OT6mn off... smile

The real objectives of this war were to give Dantski a chance to regroup, remove an annoying city and spawn a great general. Haven't achieved that last one yet and don't know how well the first is going, but this turn was really fun!

Welcome to my fortress of solitude. Well amplitude. I snuck more chariots in this turn, so unless OT6mn are paying attention I could burn Lion Kingdom and smash their stack next turn... I'd be surprised if they don't notice that though. I'm actually tempted to resettle NW of the fort, although splitting the defences over the two tiles might not be so good.


In the west Triremes will harass the Viking islands. Also note I'm running 50% espionage to try to get city visibility. I think they ran 20% last turn to stop me. Argh
