Riddle me this, lurkers:
1. Is a t259 Great Scientist in Industrial worse than Monument first?
2. How does this happen?
Our best guess at the answer to 2 is that Donovan either 1. Started in Caste and ran 2 scientists somewhere right off the bat or 2. Used fast workers to quickly chop a library and run 2 scientists. It is possible this was Dreylin but we saw Dreylin was in Slavery, or at least I'm 85% sure he was. Also, Pacifism and Serfdom seems to indicate he's just trying to beat the other PHI player to an engy for Taj.
All of these plays seem really terrible.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

scooter wants a map trade. We can reoffer if you want it. He also adopted Nationhood (??) and Pacifism.

I don't really know - I mean I guess if he got circumnavigation as we expect his maps are more valuable than ours.
I can't see any world in which drafting is valuable this early - if you're turning pop into hammers you want settlers not units - unless someone rolled up on him with his pants down and he needs a rifle for safety?

I logged in to get an overview map because I find those make the game easier to understand. This one shows what you've uncovered.
This one infers the likely layout of the land you haven't uncovered (and shows that the mirroring is fairly loose in places so not to be relied on).
There is one island between you and Pindicator and another between you and Scooter. I think these are going to be very important so perhaps rush out your mainland border cities then colonise the islands before going back to your filler cities. Or perhaps even prioritise the islands?
