Are you going to win?

Are you enjoying the map?

Something something low insult at Tom Brady.

re: Going to win - I don't know a lot about the details of what's going on on the other continent, but REM (presumably, though I'm pretty sure) has a sizeable demo lead on me atm. I think my potential victory is going to depend a lot on how much TaoTao and REM counterbalance each other. I would bet against me, though I might give myself 2nd best individual odds just cause TaoTao has to share a continent with the other guy. Gav and Ichabod are/were my potential counterbalances, but Ichabod is dying and Gav pretty much as far from me as possible.

Map - this might be the best map i've played on. Pretty well balanced without being excessively boring, interesting Island dynamic, cool choice to have no pre-Astro islands, funny in-jokes, functions with ~25 players, it's a very impressive piece of work.

GOAT. See avatar.

Though I'll admit, anti-patriots memes are often hilarious.

Assuming your Ichabod war goes as expected, what's next? Finding a new target? Consolidation?

Also, what can you tell us about the rest of the continent? Only Adrien is really reporting.

Well, a lot of consolidation. I'll need to resettle much of Ichabod's land, and still have a half island to settle that's ground to a halt when I took the shot at Ichabod. I don't have immediate war plans for afterwards, though similar to the Ichabod case if Adrien or Barteq leave an opening I'll take it.

Next time I'm in game I'll take shots of what I know // add commentary, I've had a scout and chariot wandering around other people's lands so I'm a lot less in the dark there compared to the other continent.

happy to hear that you're enjoying the map!!

Yeah, good job ya'll. I'm sure it has its faults, but I haven't particularly noticed them during normal gameplay (and haven't explicitely gone about analyzing how balanced I think all the starts are, etc).

Well, I've noticed the random flood plains screwups lol, but nbd.

Game turn report -

Sent knights south, I'll take all 3 of these cities next turn. Then will use a combat settler to block him from coming down and retaking.

State of the north, all the kngihts are in that lakeside city of Ichabod's

Overview shot

Promise will do my-continent analysis after I play this turn.

Threw golden age, pacifism/caste/nationhood. Will switch at end to probably representation/nationhood/?????/free speech/theocracy

Need to calc which of serfdom, caste, or trying to get banking for emancipation is best for the final civic.

Took the 3 southern cities (4th next turn), and threw up a city + pillaged roads to cut them off from Ichabod's north

Also, pacifism - currently very expensive. Man. Might not have been worth it honestly. We'll see.

Where is Ichabod's army and what does he have left? Does he have enough left to still challenge you in the field?

Also, Tom Brady would have already finished this war. You, sir, are no Tom Brady. neenerneener

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

Ichabod basically has his whole army left. ABout 40 knights, and then some scattered muskets that he's built as the war has gone on. You see here the armies are right now just staring at each other:

Overall territory - astronomy really was a coup

Northern island is quasi developed

Southern island is... not. The war diverted lots of resouces that were supposed to be sent here. But luckily I captured 9 workers off ichabod that are now on ships to the colonies

got graphs on REM a few turns ago, man i think TaoTao missed his chance - he could've wrecked REM

Look at that power diff. Frankly, he might STILL be able to wreck REM, mil tech gap nonwithstanding. Ionno positioning, but I feel like if mack were still playing REM would not have been able to tech in peace this long
