[spoilers] Boldly Global Warming - Viva la revolución Industrial!!

T265

It's been five turns. Time to swap civics again.

I hadn't sorted out micro before playing the turn so I logged back in after taking screenshots to turn off tech. I still haven't made a micro plan really, I'm just kludging it. We have enough beaker overflow to finish SM next turn with the GS with considerable (unrefined) cushion. There are plenty of wasted beakers but I'm winging it here. smoke Anyway, the plan is to finish the GS next turn, bulb SM, start immediately on Communism, then put two GA bulbs into that as soon as I can. I'm trading three great people to win a great spy!! How's that for great value, eh? smile There is a decent chance that the GS due here EoT fails which will leave me scrambling. If that happens, I can force a 100% GS out of the capital in 4 turns and it will still beat Panama Papers to the GP based on the cities' founding order (both founded the same turn so this could be a disaster if turn order is somehow inverted on me). If I get a GE I suppose I can rush The Kremlin. Or just stick the GE in my pocket.

It is highly probable that with any sort of planning at all I wouldn't have all those farmed tiles sitting unused. I could have put the worker turns to better use somewhere else.

GNP is good, crop yield is tanked. None of this is going to matter when one of my opponents shows up out of the fog with drafted rifles on galleons. I suppose I should do something to prevent this from happening. Scooter/Sullla are in Nationalism, but they are far away from me. Everyone else is loving Bureaucracy for now. Man, Sullla really loves drafting rifles, doesn't he? nod

Better than a coin flip chance to get the GA and stay on schedule.

lol

I'm letting shitty city #2 grow this turn and will look at whether it is worth it to fire a GA next turn to speed up both GAs. This is becoming quite the shit show. My cities aren't growing, I'm not settling new cities while Dreylin captured the barb city for easy expansion...raaarrrr rant

This would have been the turn to pop Communism and take the GS but it wasn't meant to be, at least not this turn. Nor for several more (six I think is the exact number until Panama Papers can shit out another GP).

Dreylin hasn't played yet so I doubt he's going to do anything this turn but he has plenty of time to beat me. I've researched as many beakers into Communism as I need to so I've swapped to Steam Power to get started on my next project.

Also seen roaming the landscape, REM is putting down another city. Someone ought to do something about that. Right?

Well that's one way to hail the arrival of any of history's leading figures. Wouldn't you rather decant a human than go all Ace Ventura? It seems barbaric and we're supposedly living in an age of scientific and industrial revolution! Stonk Eng101

Same for this game. Xenu, log in and move the workers around. Set up cities for a swap to SP in a few turns. I won't be able to play until tomorrow morning and that is being optimistic.
