Is Scooter still in Caste? He can put 2 artists and pop borders in just 1 turn...

Oh, so now you identify the obvious flaw!? bang

Indeed:

Also worth noting (I think) that he can switch civics next turn, but not this.

OTOH, the ideal result might be:

I crashed out rather than reject since I'd seen all we needed. Toot

Burn it, land and cover the Settler with everything else, but wait a turn before reoffering Peace to prevent him engaging in any Settler shenanigans? We have good sight lines, but he might have a Settler incoming for the isthmus, so better to wait the turn IMO to make certain nothing happens.

Actually, I think he took the Workers out on the Galleon so the military units have to walk; the WB is heading away too - guess we'll need to build our own. I doubt he'll push and aggressive Settler in at us, but probably better safe than sorry.

I'll have a detailed look at the Gaspar plan tomorrow.

I also meant to check whether REM's score jump last turn was just from Pop, or if he'd landed another tech ... but I forgot. Doh Will try to remember next turn. We don't get anything from the OB we have with him, so maybe we cancel when we can - especially since he didn't take the Incense-Gems trade I offered. frown

I think REM has built SoL and got tech at the same turn.

About scooter, it was the most reasonable thing for him to do. I think we must burn city (with cata?), check if settler is coming with spy and if it is not then offer peace at the same turn. It will be a sign for DZ at least and may be it saves us a unit which captured city and a couple of rifles on the hill covering settler.

Forgot to mention that in my plan we'd better have 2 workers to road tile 1SW from Silkmoths, so we will be able to put any unit into galleon including slow movers.

OK, I have been keeping that in mind and have the 4 Workers around Cats putting up improvements that we won't need for quite a few turns to stay close to the front; I'll plan when to move a pair back down.

We have 7 Cavs left, but 2-3 of them will not have finished healing by the time we want to load them. They can catch up with the main stack after an extra turn healing, so maybe we take 4-5Cavs, 3Rifles & 1-2Cats to land next to Bush. We can put one Rifle over the Cavs and the other two next to the city with the Cat(s). I guess it depends whether he starts to reinforce Bush better.

I don't think we need to bring the 4th Galleon down here for this, so we leave 2Rifles in the new city and send it back towards the core.

We'll also want to bring our new Settler straight down here, I think; it should arrive around the right time to plant the Iron city straight away. Then we just need to whip up a new one for the pindicator border. If he causes any trouble we'll be free of our other engagements by then.

REM indeed got Statue and Communism at the same turn.

He send his cavalry to explore so it doesnt look like he is preparing an attack on Bush.

And now we have trader routes with him, so I guess we shall keep OB with him.

If you are uncertain what to build in some city, start making prebuilds. We do not know what to prepare to and we must be ready to mobilize our population quick. In case of emergency we can build 25-30 cavalries in 5-6 turns.

So far we have the worst production and GNP, but this will change. We have something like 10 growing cities this turn and 15 workers building workshops. After we grow a little more we return to slavery and plant ~10 more cities. Oxford and specialists are going to get us out from the technological stagnation.

Burnt:

I spotted his Galleon heading off, but there was no sign of a Settler, so I offered Peace.

I sent one of the Galleons to head back West, and also sent one back to pick up the additional Catapult and rejoin the stack. So we can take a combination of up to 4 Catapults and 8 Rifles. We have 3 Cats in/near Silkmoths, so we could have max 7 available.

I Drafted GP, Goldfish & Donkeys since we have the Happy Cap space. Chameleons doesn't have the cap yet without a Market or Theatre.
