T42:
Rather boring, except we have horses connected now.
DIM's new city is Midas' Folly while Nice Shot is using the default naming scheme.
Oh and...

Quote:Greetings,
Thank you for the information about the lake. If I remember correctly, when we first met Conan the Warrior, he sat on a forested hill 1 SW of a plains fur tile. There is a plains forested hill 4W of Conan's hill. We will have a warrior on that tile on T50. We plan to use that tile as a jumping-off point for western exploration, beginning on T51.
Have you guys seen any human barbs yet?
Talk to you later,
Mr. Nice Guy of Team Nice Shot
Well, referring to the image when we met them.
Am I missing something? It seems that Nice Shot wants to explore W while DIM want to explore E.

if we tell Nice shot that DIM are to the NE and they go west it seems that it's their problem.
i've been in and changed the new warrior to Solomon Kane, what are we doing with the new warrior from Nemedia? send him to Aquilonia and wait for our next settler?

I guess that we will have to remind them then. I would rather them meet DIM, who we can easily contact, then their neighbor to the W (Krill) who we don't have direct contact with.

Probably

Wow, looks like organising this meeting will be harder than any of us thought
I'm not sure they fully understood our first message, but I'm not sure how we can make it much clearer. Well at this rate we won't have to worry about them exchanging messages behind our backs

Makes sense, was trying to work out how he was going to get Oracle and writing by t62. He's picked up Priesthood this turn I think (t42). Maybe this was the reason Krill picked Egypt, for it's starting techs? (Wheel and Myst are mandatory pre-reqs on the road to early Oracle/Alphabet?)
Pre-roading forests works out pretty well in the end for worker micro, I'll load up the next set of plans later, the delay to pottery delays our settler a turn, but we can get two workers over to start farming the wheat near city 3 the turn we settle (assuming we settle between the wheat and copper. So I think it's not bad. The other worker stays around Nemedia making improvements/chops. Two questions, do we want to chop the forest on the spice? I'm thinking we do, but like to know others thoughts. Secondly I think we'll be able to get trade routes to DIM by roading up to the spice, can someone check and confirm if I'm right or not? This is of course assuming they connect their own cities, but I think we end up both connecting to the same river. Should we make this a priority for the trade routes?

Egypt begins with agriculture and wheel, not mysticism

Well, we will want to eventually. It is better to chop sooner rather than later. The only reason we wouldn't want to is if we want to work it, but I think not.

Well, referring to one of our many dotmaps...
We can connect to them. The only problems are that they might not have settled there, and that we need Open borders to get trade routes. We are still a while from writing, so it is not a priority.

Ok, here's the next worker plan.
Major points are getting another settler out and getting the chariots and granaries up.
I've mined two hills near Nemedia and sent two of the workers back past Aquilonia to road a bunch of forests, chop the settler and then improve city #3. The settler gets produced in 2 turns, although they're spread out to make this happen, if we're happy for a third turn of 0 growth we can get it out a turn or two earlier I think.
I'm assuming we can get pottery on the turn we want, even if it means running 90% science for a turn. I'm estimating 11 turns to get Writing (8 turns of research and 3 turns of saving gold), we'll know better once we're close to it, but if it is 11t, we should be able to get a library 2 turns later in Nemedia (chopping the spices). It'll be another handful of turns there until whipping anger wears off and we can run two scientists though (I'm assuming we want to be at size 4 for this). But we'll need to save cash for the run into Mathematics anyway.

T43:
Our warrior is guarding Castranno ATM at the corn because Sockboy was paranoid that a wood2 french warrior might come out and declare. :neenernee He actually doesn't have anything else to do right now so he is just covering our workers.
Also, we could always cottage some river tiles at the capital since we won't be working some of those hills anytime soon and it can benefit from bureaucracy. Just something to keep in mind since our economy is going downhill.

Great work guys.
Things do seem to be moving along nicely. Wise move I think to relay to DIM we should be the proposers to Team Nice in the tech alliance that could go a long way to good diplo relations with them.
The trade connection between us and DIM. Probably misread the sentence. I think we/they require Sailing to be able to trade unless they road a direct path to us.

Trade routes don't require sailing, resource trades do. :neenernee
