Sounds good, I'll find a spot to stick the Settler in and start working on another one somewhere - maybe we'll keep HB long enough to whip one there! lol

We're now #2 is Soldiers for the first time - REM must still be pumping them out.

I settled Doves (seemed appropriate) between Chickens & Chameleons since 1) the Settler was there & 2) it can grab some improved tiles.

No GA this turn, but probably next as the last round of buildings finish. Also have Missionaries rolling off to bring the South Island up to scratch.

Destroyers give a lot of soldiers points. May be he is going to eat BGN, I dunno. About GA, we can postpone it a bit more it seems that we are not getting killed right now.

Quick turn summary since it's late:

Diplo windows:

1) Donovan Peace (re-offered)
2) Scooter World Map trade
3) Scooter 20g for 20g

Decided that the latter 2 indicated a temporary alliance and reoffered both. to indicate acceptance.

Scooter has Combustion and adopted Free Religion. pindicator & BGN have signed a Defensive Pact.

Last Coal plants in queue, and many Drydocks also. Stuck with OrgRel for 1 more turn to finish the Factory in Zebu, then will revolt to Theo (I think) to put out some 6xp Ironclads. Then if all is quiet, it'll be Free Rel & Golden Age time (maybe even Bureaucracy if Happiness supports it) to try and catch up some techs.

It means that we have a chance for a dogpile. If the game finishes quick it means that scooter has made mistake by attacking us and ignoring a threat coming from REM.

Yeah, so REM declared on Scooter last turn - looks like he sniped some Navy in the Hedgehogs / Silkmoths area and probably wanted to secure the 10t Peace treaty, but Scooter hasn't accepted straight away. I would have offered him a loan for upgrades, but he's spending gold, so I couldn't.

IMO if Scooter takes REM's Peace then the game is over, so on the assumption that he won't, I've gone all-in on research. Civics switched to Caste, Bureau, Free Rel, and I kicked off our Golden Age with the GSpy. It unfortunately ate our Artist rather than the Scientist, so I used him to bulb half of Electricity and will then 2t it and follow through Railroad and Combustion. That should complete a turn or two before the REM Peace expires, so we can upgrade/queue upgrade fleet. Everything that's not finishing a Factory/Coal/Drydocks build is set on Wealth or Research and I've got Scientists hired where they are better than the worked tiles.

And we'll see.

Scooter finished Physics, but REM finished Industrialism. yikes

REM has quite a few Destroyers out, but Scooter relatively few. I offered Scooter 1gpt for his 4gold treasury to indicate that I'd be willing to offer him a loan for upgrades now that he's (presumably) finished researching.

Mostly Wealth/Research builds going on now; Electricity at turn roll, Railroad 2t after that, and hopefully I can get Combustion down to 2t after that. REM Peace expires in 6t.

Saw REM's first Tank.

Managed to set up to get Railroad in 1t at break-even; what are your thoughts on whether we should go for Combustion or Artillery next??

Combustion for sure. Tanks can do nothing in waters.

P.S: sorry for being a bit inactive. I got a new baby born a week ago and it really takes whole free time to adapt to the new style of life.

But I do read every post and I am seeking for the time to check how the things are going in game.
