[Lurkers] WW #43 - The Great Wheel

Now I see that the conversation has moved onto Fenn vs. Novice. Fenn makes sense. Why would he have been feeling any pressure today as scum to personally claim town vig responsibility for the kill of a townie? Why not just let the mystery simmer and muddle things further? Trying to get town-cred off of this as scum (banking on the idea that "scum wouldn't do this") would be incredibly ballsy for scum to do at this point in the game when, by all indications, they have no need of taking such risks. His reveal only makes sense as town.

Question: would Jkaen's Mason claim and Fenn's vig claim be equally risky/appealing for scum to make, or is there something inherently riskier about the Mason claim which is making people trust it more?

In a vacuum, Jkaen's mason claim would be just as risky, but Jkaen also happens to have a bunch of corroborating evidence in his and AdrienIer's previous posts alluding to the mason thing, so Jkaen is on rock-solid ground, no doubt about it. But I think Fenn's claim, even though it is basically just his word against others on it, is on pretty strong ground too.

For the life of me, I just can't understand Rowain's play. He clearly doesn't like Gazglum's play, and he keeps throwing passive-aggressive barbs in his direction (such as insinuating that Gaz is trying to coast into an easy mislynch of a newb townie in the form of Prometheus), and yet Rowain won't go after Gazglum head-on and vote him (maybe because Gaz looks so towny to everyone else, and Rowain knows it would be a lost cause and just make Rowain look even worse)...nor does Rowain have any better targets (novice seems like a fair 2nd target).

The only thing that Rowain wants to do is get everybody to reveal roles, and he keeps acting flabbergasted that Gazglum and others (quite reasonably) won't comply. He keeps insinuating that it is just Gaz stonewalling this strategy, and yet other players are not exactly jumping at the idea either. Shouldn't Rowain's natural town response be, "OK, fair enough, I see my suggestion is going nowhere. How about we try some other strategy..."? He should figure that, with everyone against it (which must include townies somewhere in there even if he doesn't think Gazglum is one of them), the townies must have good reasons for their decision.

Yeah when you spend 48h doing something and everyone disagrees completely the normal response is to say "ok let's try something else" even if you still think your way is better.

I think all things considered I'd vote for Novice. Rowain is terribly wrong IMO but probably not scum

Rowain gon' get hisself lynched. He better switch his vote to Prometheus ASAP if he wants to live because otherwise he will lose the tiebreaker if someone else switches onto him at the last second.

Actually, I think I miscounted. Rowain already has 4 on him vs. Prometheus's 3. He already missed his chance to save himself.

4-4 now. He should vote know !
