(What I wanted to post in the planning thread but didn't. Not to be read without first reading said post. Also apologies for bringing setup drama into this thread, but I had to post this somewhere)

And you've already had so many demands for this game's setup...

First off, why the hell do you care? If you were a player then sure, I could understand. But as a lurker you have very little investment in this game in the first place, and certainly no reason at all to involve yourself with technical issues.
Secondly, must you question my judgement publicly? I already stated in the very first post that I'm not perfect and prone to mistakes. If you had to make this comment then do it via private PM to me or the lurker thread. Do not post your personal opinion on how effective I am as a sponsor in the planning/tech threads again, thank you.

It's pretty surprising to hear you that explicitly want it left in.
I never said I explicit wanted it in. I just didn't have a strong opinion either way. It is only modding it out of the game where I have a strong opinion. Don't put words in my mouth.

Now that I got that off my chest, this is exactly the reason why I didn't want to bring anymore rules discussion. I hope the game can start before I have to deal with anymore shit like this.

To keep my sanity in check, we should only name workers. On the flip-side, we name them after whichever lurker has the most posts in this thread. That way, not only do we encourage lurker posts but also discourage other teams from capturing our workers. The downside is that it also inflates the post count of other teams so... (If Mardoc the worker was captured by Sculla, then I imagine Mardoc will comment in Sculla thread in response no?)

Well first download and extract the folder. Then you will want to place it here: (this is for my machine anyway, may be different for yours)
"C:\Users\xxx\Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\MODS"
where xxx is your username.
After that you can run the mod, by loading the mod as an advanced option in the main menu of 3.19.
I'm pretty sure that won't work. It has to be put in C:/program files (x86 for me maybe not for everyone)/ *whatever file civ 4 is in, it depends on if you have it through steam or not and what version of the game you got, mine is in 2k games/firaxis games/civ4 complete* /beyond the sword/mods

I tried going through program files x86 originally but it didn't work. Then I found the MODS folder I directed above and it works perfectly. I'm not too familiar with why there are two mods folders but as long as it works fine then it doesn't really matter.

Uh, I really don't know why you're making a mountain out of this molehill regarding what I said in the tech thread.
If I seem like I care when I shouldn't, it's only because I've been through the hell of shitty game setup multiple times and watching this one roll out is giving me flashbacks. On another note, it also gets under my skin to see you harassing Mardoc in the tech thread every couple days on the map status. He is volunteering for this! It seems you still have no idea how much work goes into a "one off scenario" that supposedly doesn't require "much thought put into it."
As far as my opinions go, and especially so when I'm flamed for them, I'll post them wherever the fuck I please, "thanks."

That's...really odd. It seems like every couple of weeks someone posts with a difficulty running mods, and 90% of the time we can fix their problem by telling them to use the main Program Files directory instead of the My Documents one, per Adrien's comment.
