Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!
After coaxing Saint to follow along with the group Lucas led the way through the passage way, taking care to check each foot step to ensure he didnt slip or trigger something best left untouched
He again noticed the runes that had featured above and tried his best to determine their meaning, but their like was well outside his previous experience Arriving at the branch in the tunnels, Lucas pays little attention to what he can see, focusing instead on Saint, and seeing if the dog showed any inclination to head in a particular direction
As Niall paces down the passage after Lucas, every party member's breathing, their footfalls, the rustle of their clothing, Saint's panting reverberating off the carven walls, he reflects on how little well he knows these people to be in such a confined, forlorn space with them. One of them could know of Kile's disappearance, he reflects wildly. This could be a trap for travellers. He swallows and sets his gaze ahead, resolving not to be distracted by wayward thoughts - but to be wary, and to learn a little of his companions later.
As you begin to walk into the wider passage, a sudden harsh wispier of "NOW!" echos and two ragged-looking men rise from the shadows, shooting their heavy crossbows as they stand. The dog cowers down to a crouch in fear.
Attack at Lucas: 14 vs. flat footed, 1d10=4 damage Attack at Niall: 16 vs. flat footed, 1d10=5 damage The two men toss aside their heavy crossbows after their shots and seem to be making ready to draw their swords. Roll for initiative (surprise round over). As you roll for initiative, go ahead and also describe what you do (attack, change, spell, etc) to keep the play moving at a good clip. I'll weave in the enemies' turn and actions where appropriate (blew their initiative roll in this case). 1 square=5ft The terrain is slick; moving at full speed requires and acrobatics check DC 12 to not slip. Half speed is fine; so practically Lucas and Niall may engage in melee normally but if Anya or Robern want to close they'll need to make the check.

Initiative is 3+4 =7, Robern will charge the nearest target. I rolled acrobatics for the move, and I got 18+7. I will use my parry/riposte if I get melee attacked. Can you access my character sheet, or do you need the rest of my stats?

"Windbreaker, attack" says Anya after a moment of surprise.
The eagle flies towards the attackers, and as he approaches one of the men Anya pronounces some words in druidic. I'll deduct the hit points if you hit and describe the round as everything resolves.

I'm not sure if I can both cast the spell and send the eagle forward in the same turn, but that's my goal.Yep, that's your action/his action, he'll be on your initiative count. I'll roll for the pet's attack (assuming it'll be the eagle standard bite): Windbreaker flashes forward, beak dripping acid. His initial bite misses the solider but he hovers behind the man, flanking him and getting ready to strike again.
