Niall's jaw clenches, looks like tightly enough to cause him pain, at the mention of a previous interloper somehow dealt with, but he listens quietly. When the guard goes limp, Niall sighs, then, utterly ungently, save with his bandages, deprives the man of his mail coat, wipes the bloodied rings on the latter's clothes, and dons it.
Stowing his leather jerkin, Niall looks up to see, with mild surprise, Lucas and Robern already padding down the leftward passage.
'We'd better follow,' he says to Anya softly, shrugging sympathetically.
Glad you're enjoying it, Darrell!
Stealth = 24 (if this counts as a 'hilly or rocky area' for Highlander, 23 otherwise)
Are Lucas and Robern using any source of light? If not, Niall will sheathe his sword and cover the hilt with a bunch of his clothing.
Anya follows the others with a sigh, and takes the remaining gold from the corpses.
You guys weren't taking the 6 gold I left you so why waste it ?
Is there any light at all in the tunnel ? If not I'm keeping the lamp lit.
Stealth : 15
Perception : 26
Being at the back of the group I'm doing this perception check to find any trace in the tunnel or on the walls that could help us understand exactly what is going on, or how many people come by this tunnel every day.
The tunnel slopes gently downward as you move with stealth. The tunnel curves and you are fairly certain you're moving seaward. Anya notes that this tunnel system seems ancient, with driftwood used to shore up crumbling areas here and there.
You all come to a stop before a crude unpainted door. The bottom of the door is more than an inch off the floor and faint firelight can be seen in the crack, its crude iron lock shows no light, though. Laughter and idle conversation sounds from the other side of the door, although clearly not right next to it.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

"I would still rather get more information first. In order to pay this amount of guards they must have quite the warchest somewhere, and I want to find it and get paid".
