A cast knife catches Niall's arm below the sleeve of his chain shirt. He impales the ill-equipped figure in front of him, then turns the latter with his blade as he steps past, sliding the blade out of him again easily and into a wild swipe at the next man ahead, alas, readily dodged.

I'd like to move adjacent to both the other enemies if no one else does (otherwise, just the knife thrower) and attack the knife thrower.

Lucas' mighty swing slashed the unarmored man in the throat, killing him outright, but the second man had time to bring his buckler up to block the cleaving follow-through. Anya's dagger flashes harmlessly by the man but Windbreaker arrows in at a remarkable pace and elicits a shocked scream from the man as he tears away an ear.

Ow, crits: Eagle attack roll=20, rolls 16 to confirm, 1d4x2=6 damage

Robern marches in and adds his own strike to the melee, just barely striking the flanked man, but the blow still wounds him.

1d20=8+6+2(flanking)=16, damage 1d6=1+4=5

"Damnit! You don't know what you're doing! His beast will kill you all!"
Niall's strike misses the embattled man but now he's clearly in trouble. He strikes at Lucas with his handaxe, but the blow is wild, flailing.

Attack was a 9, I know that misses even with the cleave malus.

Back to players, and everyone needs to make a perception roll.

Anya and Lucas notice that something is dragging the unconscious first man down into the water.

'Surrender!' Niall shouts, swinging for his foe's head. He doesn't hear behind him the sound of the water breaking or the felled man being dragged away.

Perception = 0

Niall cannot perceive anything. I feel like I need to make this into some sort of character flaw or something.

Attack = 14
Damage = 9

I get a 17 and still fail? Must have quite the DC. I guess my character has to keep fighting how he has been fighting, unless he is informed of the monster in which case he will retreat.

Niall, enraged, slams down on the on the man's buckler. The block left the man open on the other side, however, and Lucas took him in the side. The man went down with a sigh.

Lucas' attack 18, damage 10.
