Well it turns out Riot did very well here! It WAS my account! While I was away, someone stole it (probably hacked my old email, or the provider simply sold account info before they closed the site). The account had been transferred to another region and the name had been changed too. Someone had been playing on it as recently as yesterday. I have to give props to Riot Support for sorting it out.

It's really confusing! When I look at Match History and open it up, I see what I assume was their summoner name on the other server. When I look that up on stat websites, it doesn't seem to match with this account though. Anyway from what I can tell in the client, they were pretty shit (way more losses than wins) and are still in placements (but I'm pretty sure that's cause the account was transferred back to EU West by Riot just now). Mostly played supports so not much of a difference there lol. Let's see the Purchase History.. Only goes back two months: four skins (Arcade Ahri <3), a few champs, and a bunch of crafting non-sense that I don't understand yet. Looks like there was a name change only 3 weeks ago which is interesting. Might be why I have a hard time finding the correct stats online. The account might have gone through multiple owners. Interestingly enough the name that shows up in match history matches with a female Twitch streamer who plays MOBA's. Could be a coincidence ofc, she doesn't have VODs for me to check. Basically, your MMR is compared to the average on the server--every server will have Bronze and Challenger players, but smaller servers will have a smaller range naturally (there's less total points, so the bell curve can't go out as far or peak as highly).
