I assumed we were retracking our steps until we reach the branching tunnel, where we went left this time, we will pick up from here and go right (after I drop the weight of the chest at the junction

There is a spiral stone stairway leading down in the large chamber where you fought the creature and the thugs; there is also further back the fork in the caves.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
Having come back in from the beach, Lucas pauses in the main room, keeping well away from the water.
So then it seems we have 2 choices, down the stairwell, or back down the right hand fork from earlier. I wold feel more comfortable fighting on the ground than a staircase if it came to that, and these paths are linked, but we could leave our rear open Wincing at his bruising he adds Or have we recovered what we had to already. I am in a poor state for further fighting, and my patron will be keen to get back what I suspect is in this chest, and we have others to take back to civilisation we have rescued. Do we return to the village, marshal our strength and return later knowing what we face, risking their leader escaping for now?
I'm in favor of going down first. If we have to fight in the stairs I can drop the alchemist's fire on them to give us time to climb back here
'I favour the spiral stairs as well. I'd rather completely clear one area first so we don't have to worry about enemies to our rear. We do need to press on, though, as we can't take Kile back without the key to unlock his cuffs.'
"There is still plenty of time to get back to town after clearing out the lower levels. I don't really care which passage we go down, I need to clear it all anyway to make sure I recover everything for my employers."
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!
Lucas shrugs Very well I will leave this chest here until we return from the staircase. I suggest Anya take the lead, as I am sure nobody wishes alchemists fire being dropped on them from above
