We have been looking at the attacks on shipping that have occurred recently, and we think we found out the main person who was responsible, indeed this chest is part of the haul they had captured from these ships. There are a number of leads we still need to chase down to remove this threat once and for all and to ensure all the guilty are punished. It seems you have certain skills, and a mental approach to problems that our current group is missing, would you be interested in joining us going forward to resolve this issue?

What is this submersible you speak of? Some magical device? Should we inquire of the local magicians?

I think we are jumping ahead of ourselves with that question remarks Lucas in response to Lady Elizabeth
We went to the point just outside the town here where the boats had been disappearing and found a cave structure. Defending it was this guard and his dead friend and then another 3 people in their main room, along with some sort of tentacled sea creature. We killed the people, injured the creature and rescued Kile and 2 chests. Oh and there was some odd elf creature there too, truth be told in the excitement I am not sure what happened to it. We then went down some stairs and killed the head priest dwarf which caused the cave system to flood. we grabbed what we could and came back to town to regroup. Seems we missed a couple of guards including a one eyed man, the creature we guess still lives, and have this coded document we just found, and this sketch of the machine that was damaging the ships With that Lucas shows her the sketch of the vessel
Niall isn't sure he'd count as a "competent engineer", but showing the schematics to the local tinker yields some excited pointing and muttering. Tinker Jinx thinks he might be able to identify the builder of some of the more intricate components if you can bring him the pieces.
