Turn 112
StarDoor has lost 2 of his Big 3:
Construction in 5 with no wealth builds. I kind of like that.
Decided to just go all in on the horcher builds. Only half my cities have barracks, and a couple cities have barracks with some hammers put into them, but I realized I need quantity more than quality right now.
I might whip a few more cities than I first said. Orandrad still isn't getting whipped -- and probably should be building something else than that barracks -- but I might not have the luxury of time, so we might need to whip whip whip.
Also, I was tempted to turn that settler around to come back for the copper tile. It's a 4 turn journey to get there, and that's about when my horchers will get on line.
My goal is 15-20 horchers by the time Construction comes in. Then a round of catapults and then mix elephants and horchers.

Lets hope Nyles doesn't see this as an incoming attack on him and decide to hit you first.

Heh, Nyles might be NAP-able? Ideally this could be a dogpile.

I've been trying to signal NAP to Nyles since wetbandit got eaten. I don't think he's going to invade us - he hadn't built any military since his dcodea wars, to the point where were all pretty even. Power graph is pretty much:
40k OT4E
(???) - Other Hub, which seems to be gearing up for war if they aren't there already. We'll have graphs on Nicolae soon
20k Everyone else. We will pull ahead of Nyles with this horcher wave, if we aren't already
Also, I've openly signaled NAP, assuming he cares or has been paying attention. Been trading Copper for Copper with Nyles for the last 10 or so turns.
Thing is, everyone "knows" that someone from the other hub is going to just economically run away with things while OT4E bogs us down with war. The problem is if nobody here builds military then OT4E will win because he'll eat up so much land so easily that he will be able to keep up with the other hub. He might be at that point already.
Point is, Nyles and StarDoor played this like it's still the prisoner dilemma (though StarDoor might just be inexperienced). It's past that point now. The only choice here is die quickly to OT4E or build military and die later to the other hub. But there's at least still a chance of catching up later if you're alive. And if OT4E switches gears then there is use in having an any at this stage in the game.

I see a rather distressing lack of plans for moar blood.

That's fair criticism, but it's only because I dont' think I can make any substantial plans right now.
First off, let me give you an appetizer to whet your blood hunger:
No surprises here. The build up for this could be seen over the last dozen turns as both sides have whipped constantly over that time. I dont' think it looks good for Elkad, although both of them are weaker civs by city count. This is good news / bad news for me. Elkad is still supplying me with Silver (he didn't cancel the Silver for Gems deal, so I am giving him 2 copies of gems for some reason), and losing that would be bad. But this means Nicolae is going to have a difficult war and I can try to claim land to the east without too much worry.
Okay, time for the main course. I offered World Map trade to StarDoor and he graciously accepted:
The bare minimum we need to shoot for is that OT4E gets nothing more than StarDoor's core. Everything to the east of my culture and across the water I need to take. That's still 9 cities for me to grab, and probably very easily with all the horchers we're going to be pumping out. The thing that keeps me from making definitive plans is OT4E's army: i have no information on it, what it's composed of, how much he is sending this direction to take on StarDoor. If OT4E tries to move east of Torheven, along that narrow strip of land not in my culture, I will jump his army if he gives me an opening. Especially if I can get catapults down to the area in time. If OT4E just sits back in StarDoor's core, then I will take on StarDoor myself. If OT4E is too slow, then I might go for it if i can get the horchers in place in time and feel secure enough in my borders.
What I have to absolutely avoid is the scenario where my army is taking on StarDoor and then OT4E comes in and hits me while my units are away. Better would be to hit OT4E with StarDoor, but I fear StarDoor is not very competent militarily and that this is a farfetched dream. Over the last few turns he's made 1 whip: both times dry whipping his capital. Spiteful? Well, if he's whipping units then that's decent enough. But he needs to be whipping everywhere...
Army Preparations:
I whipped 4 different cities for 1 pop each. My goal is to whip as efficiently as possible, so I'm only doing 1-pop whips as much as possible. I have a ton of spare happiness; what I don't have a ton of is production. I didn't whip the capital or Karego, though both are 1-pop whips. Should I whip those as well?
Any suggestions from the ded-lurkers on how they'd play this?

Mr. Cairo has settled 5 cities over the last 6 turns!
He leads the way with ~19 total

Turn 114 Preview
Ducked in, did the C&D, but want to let this game settle a bit in my head before playing. Also maybe give some time for feedback. (EDIT: Let's be honest, I'm going to play Civ 6.)
Here's the big revelation
So the mountain is steep, but not quite as steep as we first thought!
Also, our research continues to improve nicely. Construction is only 2 turns away, so it's only going to end up being a 4 turn tech to research, and without any of that fancy Build Wealth. So catapult production starts in 2 turns.
I kind of want to build a scout, to send south before OT4E's cities come out of revolt. I could also do this with a horcher, but that would involve confirming for OT4E that I have horchers. And 15h is a small investment compared to 50h if he were to declare just to deny me that information.
Also, OT4E took StarDoor's city of NES last turn.

Turn 115 Preview
Guess I forgot to report 114 with all the Civ 6 going on this weekend. But we're on to 115 now and a few things have happened:
That's Mr. Cairo running away with things on the other continent while his neighbors are ... I have no idea what his neighbors are doing. Chumchu seems to think he can out-expand AGG/IMP Zulu who has laid down SIX cities in the last SEVEN turns -- he's up to 20!!! And has just bulbed Philosophy. I really wish my chariot had made it safely to him; that would be a much needed boost to my Known Civs with Tech bonus.
Also, Kim Jong's attack went about as well as one would expect a North Korean attack to go. Lots of bluster, seen coming a mile away, and in the end lots of troops died for nothing. Good job on Elkad mounting a defense by the way. Speaking of which, Elkad's power is less than mine while Kim Jong's is still #1 but he lost a lot last turn.
And that's not even the biggest event of the turn. When I first got into the game I was greeted with this:
I haven't touched anything. I was really hoping that I'd have time to chop those forest tiles but now I probably need to pull those workers back. I have 9 horchers now, and likely 5 more finishing at end of turn. 2 are in Torheven now, another is in Kameber, another in Andrad, and a 5th is over east in Perregal. 4 more coming down from the capital area.
OT4E hasn't shown much, but there are a lot of questions:
1) What do you make of the Copper deal? I'm guessing OT4E is trying to tell me "Hey buddy, don't worry I won't attack you (yet). I just want to take over all these awesome StarDoor lands. Aren't I such a nice guy letting you develop in peace like this?" Or maybe he thinks this is Civ3 and accepting a gift enforces peace? Or perhaps he's telling me to stay out or else?
2) Do we hit these units if they try to head east? If so then I need to move all these workers to make roads so my horchers can hit him out of the fog.
3) OR ... do we let him attack StarDoor and then attack after he has taken the city? That would give us time to move more units down. The downside is that this would also potentially give him time to move a lot more units up. Soonest that OT4E could hit him would be 3 turns from now, which would let me get at least 10 horchers in the area, plus 2 that could come in from Perregal.
I haven't played yet. No need to wait for going after anyone this turn, but I'm going to want to pick my spot here soon.
Also, Construction at end of turn isn't happening unless I build Wealth in a city, and I think I just want the horchers instead. Too many unit expenses.

Ha OT4E is difficult to understand in English a lot of the time, nevermind in AI diplo speak
