Ok, so havent had a chance to open the game and see the starting map yet, but I do know I am China, as per the
Brickopedia China is:
China
Unique Ability: Dynastic Cycle: Eurekas and Inspirations provide 60% of civics and technologies instead of 50%.
Unique Unit: Crouching Tiger: Unique Ranged Unit. Has a short range but high power, and does not require resources. (Replaces...?)
Unique Tile Improvement: Great Wall: Provides defense and Gold. Provides bonuses to Culture and Tourism in the later eras.
Qin Shi Huang
Leader Bonus: The First Emperor. Can spend a builder charge to complete 15 % of the wonder cost for Ancient/and Classical wonders. Builders receive an additional charge than those of other civilizations.
Leader Agenda: Wall of 10,000 Li. He dislikes Civilizations who have built more wonders than him.
So this now means, for techs with eurekas, which I understand to be not that hard to get, a 10 turn tech now takes me 4 turns to research rather than 5, hence I have a potential 25% boost to both science and civscience. Hence i assume I am going to be pushing science hard here to try and build on that advantage and get a tech lead on the AI
I am also hearing barbarians are a pain, which I assume my UU and UTI (unfortunate anagram) can help with
I know in his very first game Parkin went worker first which with my super worker may seem the way to go, but he also then hit hard by barbs, so I am thinking scout-warrior-worker opening may be the way here, especially given I assume tile improvements follow the civ5 path of being minor boosts compared to the civ4 improvements.
This means I can hopefully kill the scouts before the barbarians start to snowball
next update when I get home and open the map
