It's all good, I will just lurk and ask question and refrain from making suggestions.
Interesting that brought up about Police State in PB32. In hindsight, I thought it was one of my more questionable decisions. I felt I was limited by GNP more than I was limited by hammers, considering I already had cheap forges.

Well it certainly seemed like your Economy picked up pretty fast after you'd occupied all of BGN's land...!
My thought was that maybe with a 4-player game, that an early Police State rush to knock out one of the other 4 could force a concession pretty quickly. OTOH, this is Quick speed so units have a lower lifespan.
I also need to keep reminding myself that this is base BTS and not an RtR; haven't played base for quite a while!

Interesting that brought up about Police State in PB32. In hindsight, I thought it was one of my more questionable decisions. I felt I was limited by GNP more than I was limited by hammers, considering I already had cheap forges. I'd say it worked out well, particularly since I was playing Darius and had very few spare early game hammers. You just overwhelmed me with units, made worse by you capturing my best hammer city when the war began. I can see a similar play being decisive in a smaller field like this. If nothing else, it would force the tempo and make opponents react to you rather than being proactive against. So they have to build units to keep in shouting distance with you while not enjoying the benefit of State Property Police State. With only three opponents, whichever one neglects to build up gets horcher-stomped. Jowy won with just a little more than his share of the landgrab in the first round of this mini-tournament. Mids + PS could certainly help grab a little more than that.
Just my .02. Lurking with interest, especially with so few games going on now.

Well, if everyone's "lurking with interest", then I'd better post some updates!
T16 -
A good turn for an update because I opened to this:
Gingereagle. Ths could be good news if there's easy access to his land, as I'd judge the Crystal Palace obsessed GE as the weakest of the field.
Unfortunately, I had come to the conclusion that there was no land connection West of the Clams, but then again maybe I was wrong:
Definite connection here, even if it's narrow. Scout will go W, SE next turn to defog a bit more then onto the PH to head further SE. The Warrior was already on the way to clear this area, so it will go SE and reveal most of the missing tiles. Not sure if he'll go SW the following turn to check for Seafood, or carry on E to check for food resources near the Copper which could influence the dotmap.
I'll probably revolt to Slavery after the second Worker is out and AH comes in; that saves me a turn of working an unimproved tile, in exchange for which I can 1pop whip the Settler to counter the delay from the Anarchy.

Animal Husbandry comes in at EoT and reveals Horses:
Warrior will move NE to reveal the remaining fogged tiles next turn and then I'll have to start seriously dotmapping.

When I looked over this map I found it really hard to dotmap. I also managed to win a diety SP game on it! I used Gingers pick (Diety toroid, has to be org) and admittedly the AI didn't have the extra starting units/techs diety usually has but I still think it was a fairly good effort. JC absolutely stomped the game and had 5 times anyones power, but the combined votes of me and cathy pushed me over the diplo victory limit handsomely.

Congrats on the win; can't say I've ever beaten Deity - infact possibly the only time I've played it was the Rome Barb ROFLstomp; Epic 6(?)
Challenging to dotmap is always good for me; means my questionable choices are made less questionable!
Of course CRE changes the dynamic considerably with just a 3t border pop. Right now sitting staring at the screenshot, I'm thinking that 1E of Sheep is looking very tempting for a first city location: Clams & Sheep are not great for Food, but are enough to work both strat resources; then Sailing pushes it up nicely with the pair of Lighthouse lakes to work some more mines & the Dyes. Planting the second city in that area is also favoured as the Workers are currently trending in that direction to hook up the Pigs and then Copper....

It's not a true deity win - I had more or less complete map knowledge, and also they didn't have the extra settler/worker units usually that deity gets. Would have been at least 1 difficulty level lower, perhaps 2. I did the tried and tested find a random map spot they haven't settled, and liberate that city back to them :P Hardly skillful!

Whelp, no food there:
Also I hadn't realised that these were Gingereagle's borders:
That "x" would be a stretch (i.e. massive landgrab), but would make a nice border....
