India invites us to join the Hydra. Obviously the answer is NO, but I don't know how to respond. Say yes, and still declare war? Don't answer, declare war, or just plain out say no, and declare war? Not really important, but it affect the diplo message we send them.

Reg just sent this LONG, drawn out email. If I didn't know any better, I would join him in a heartbeat. He is convincing...

Ref, I need to go soon, and won't be back until after the turn is over. I don't know where you are, so I'm going ahead and doing it now.
Sorry if this is sudden, but will still get the second half, and so...
Post soon for results!

T-shirt on the Rocks was burnt to the GROUND!
Chariot has 3.4/4, and is up for promo. I say Shock and that should be enough to either heal but all the way or 1 t heal.
Where to move it?
We know that they now only have 3 warriors. We can play it safe and move 1S on the forest hill, OR 1SW and another move to be outside what I believe his India's Capital!!!!

Never mind...
If we move 1SW and 1 S or SE we would still have to move 1 more time to hit where I think his capital his, because of how far I think his borders have expanded so far. I would go with 1 SW and S-SE-SW then check capital odds, if good, attack, if bad, PILLAGE!!!

I looked at the email account, and how do you find that Exploit would be under Non-Indian Agression ![yikes yikes](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/yikes.gif) ?
That's why I don't do diplo..

I'm a bit curious who's forcing you to do things you don't want to, surely you decide for yourselves how to play? Since I'm the one you quoted, I guess I should answer for myself. No person or team forced us to do anything. It was the game setup and the game situation. Our choices were:
1) Attack India (a civ that was obviously instrumental in assembling the giant alliance that started all this misery in the first place, and tried to deceive us in an underhanded, obvious, and frankly dull-witted way with their very first diplomatic message [have we posted it yet? I'll try and do so if not...], so at least there's cause). OR
2) Betray all our friends and allies in the game by refusing to attack and "switching sides," which would result in us getting killed by our buddies now and/or by the other bloc after they win. It's also something we're extremely loathe to do on general principles, as well as being a way to hand the game to the Hydra. OR
3) Come up with a peaceful solution. We tried. We failed. I had this great idea that could have really made this game interesting again: Beat Gandhi (Krill) and India (uberteam) with Satyagraha! But no one wants to hear that when we can raze an important "enemy" city. Besides, it would have to be executed very well to accomplish anything, and may already have been too late when I got the idea. (sigh...) So, when that option came up to try it, I tried another tack: Gunboat diplomacy! And ... it might have worked if it was earlier in the game and the city in question was therefore more important ... and if our allies had been willing. And if there were eight already signed up for their alliance instead of nine. And if there had been enough time. But ... yeah. Look at all those "if only"s. It was a forlorn hope. I tried. I shouldn't have, probably. But there it is.
There is indeed communication going on that hasn't been reported here. There's more communication than any one of us can keep track of, I think, never mind post! A lot of stuff happens in chats, which are ugly and unreadable when they get posted. We've been trying to keep up with things, but have inevitably fallen behind. We'll keep trying. My next major update will come when I have a better idea of what on earth is going on at this point. Hopefully Maniac or Cull will post things about which they're more clued in than I am. With 16 teams still living, the pace of this game is insane.

Micro Stuff: At this point, I think we need a serious strategic discussion. Big f'rinstance: Should we tech Hunting? There is a non-zero chance we'll see chariots (or war chariots) riding in on us from the north in 5 turns or less. On the other hand, the hydra heads north of us might not respond too rapidly to a threat against India. But they might. As of the now-current turn, we have 120 hammers worth of whipping power available - it'll be 150 next turn if we don't whip now - but only the capital has a granary. Exploit won't be able to send Hunting our way in less than 7 turns, and he may well be delayed. We can build units as sentries to send north and give us early warning, or we can ignore the danger and keep playing a farmer's gambit, or....
I can't build any kind of microplan without knowing what its purpose is. What's the overall plan?
