Raze and replace Khazak pls. FYI: I may just go incommunicado sometime soon. Baby 2 is now at "she can come any time" mode.

Best of luck, Zalson! Any odds on timing being incredibly early in the morning? lol

Sounds good - don't get me wrong, I really want the HE and good enough units to go on the offensive. Hopefully we can pick away at Boudicca with maces and cats, particularly if we can hit another attack stack to eliminate her mobile troops, while maintaining enough economy to quickly get to knights and engineering.

I think it's a bit of a stretch objective, but would be great if we can make a start in that direction.

@Zalson - no worries, if we don't hear from you, we'll know that you're busy. Hope it all goes well.

FWIW, I'm around for the next week, then away for just over a week, so we may have to consider a short hiatus or other alternatives. Let's just keep on for the moment, though.

I'm going to be very bold and not play until tomorrow. Woodchopping: The Game* is calling to me.

I'm falling behind here, partly because of real life issues mentioned in another thread, but I should be able to cover the empire's first conquered city at least:

As shallow_thought mentioned, The Ancient Mariner after whom Cuman was renamed, is specifically not - by his own report - a ghost. His story certainly contains a full helping of the undead though! Only one of these is given anything like a proper name, and that one is depicted here by Brian Luong:
[Image: rime-ancient-mariner-death-life-in-death...2x1024.jpg]
Her skin was as white as leprosy,
The Night-mare LIFE-IN-DEATH was she,
Who thicks man's blood with cold.
-Samuel Taylor Coleridge, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, from part 3

Life-in-Death and her die-rolling companion are identified together as "deaths" before her name is given in the poem, but they and their ship are ghostly enough in appearance and behavior, and by no means the only ghosts in the story. I should also add, though I elected to go with her picture instead of his, and in spite of claiming he isn't a ghost, the Mariner is of course appropriate to this deep-southern coastal city, and the way he holds the wedding guest with his eye certainly smacks of possession! Hmmmm....

And then the next city on the list is too special to wait. We've had two photographs (not sure if it was clear, but the very first image I posted in this thread is actually a photo; the person "portraying" JacobYaqob Marley is the actor in a stage version of the story; the other photo is of course the Grocken Spectre) and a bunch of paintings. But this next city?

Did you just call baby #2 a stretch objective?

Save done, have razed Gergovia and killed off a HA/Catapult stack that Boudicca had for the loss of two Axes (one to the city, t'other to the stack). Some of the odds were a bit borderline, and the Catapult withdrawals were, frankly, astounding. Must have rolled out the ones.

Boudica has refounded a new city 1 west of the ruins of Gergovia and will accept a peace giving 140gold plus 7gpt. We also got about 520 fail gold from the wonders completing elsewhere. I'm whipping into the Heroic Epic at Bean a Sidhe, the Lighthouse at Ancient Mariner and Maoi at Caleuche.

Proper report in the morning.

Oh and I voted no to attacking Monty via AP resolution.

I look forward to the full report, but it sounds positive overall. Boudica is certainly making a pest of herself, isn't she?

As for the AP resolution...gee, the whole world hates the crazy Aztec. Whatever could have caused that to happen? lol
