What kind of odds would 1 shock chariot have of taking India's capital? I assume they'd whip out a second warrior there. Can they do anything else?

1 Chariot isn't gonna work. 3 warriors should be enough to kill lone Chariot and India should easily build that and more. For Shock you also need Combat I promotion.
Jowy Wrote:Looks like Ottomans declared on us. Honestly I didn't even remember they're in the game, even left them out my report Oh well. Looks like the Ottoman / Aztec plan to circle back with the chariot and give the Incas an opportunity to forget it succeeded. Jowy Wrote:They are "claiming" the first 8 hours, so it'd go them-ruff-us. I haven't logged in yet but I'd guess that's the only reason for the war, to force us to make our moves faster and have less time discussing our moves. However we aren't going to accept that turn split. Wow, Jowy can be pretty clueless sometimes. So for the casual lurkers, what happened was that Ottomans helped Aztecs break the Incan axe choke with a chariot, and declared on both to be able to enter Aztec lands. Ottomans have an additional chariot in the fog and the Incas have just two axes and a quecha left in Aztec lands.

Thanks for the quick summary novice Your ability to keep track of what's going on in all games is quite impressive :D
I haven't been able to properly lurk RBP3 so I really appreciate the posts you make here summarizing the latest events and/or posting screenshots :D
Thanks SoV, however it is a bit embarassing how much time I spend on these forums. I'm writing these summaries for my own sake as well. Feel free to correct me if I get things wrong as I don't actually read everything.
Anyway, the counteralliance seems to be named Hercules and presumably consists of the 7 "reject" civs as they call themselves. Their name for the 9 civ alliance led by Krill of Egypt is the Hydra. The leader of Hercules seems to be Exploit of Sumeria, which is awkward for us lurkers as he doesn't have a spoiler thread. ETA for Alphabet: Hydra eot 62 (Oracled by Egypt this turn), Hercules t72 (Sumeria). See this post in Rome's thread for Hercules information: http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showpost....tcount=341 Hercules have an operation planned called Tuesday 65. Details are elusive, it sounds like a coordinated attack by Rome, Sumeria, Maya and Byzantium on India. Presumably on turn 65. EDIT: Some teams call it Heracles and not Hercules, they are two names for the same mythological character, who slayed the Hydra (among other feats)...

Bobchillingworth of Byzantium Wrote:Also sounds like the Incans are having some war problems and may have to pull out of their conflict, which really sucks, but I suppose gives 10 turns for Mali and Babylon to build up reinforcements. Apparently the Inca have been thwarted by a lone chariot, which is beyond pathetic. Did they even have a plan? Was their entire army a single axe, or something? Haha, all is rosy in the Heracles alliance a.k.a. CANT.

Take a look at Carthage. Four cities, great GNP, gold, furs, stone, horse, copper, Fin / Exp leader. Looking great, I must say.
The only downside I can find at the moment is that they're giving three workers to Egypt (Krill) for settling rights to their stone/horse city. But it looks like they can afford it.

Is that marble in city of Boring?

Mwin
That is indeed marble, missed that. In addition they have stone and horses in their western city (outside the screenshot). They're set up well for a builder's game then, and only have one hostile front, to the south.
Their plan as far as I can tell is to play the alliance conflicts defensively.
