I sent an e-mail off to Rome in response to one of theirs from yesterday.

Hello Team SsS,

I'm sure we'd be able to come to some arrangement. I don't think we'd want to participate ourselves though a deal for our units could probably be worked out. Do you mind sharing any specifics as to the target/timeframe?

I'll discuss with Nakor about how many units and what not (we can only offer axes and quecha's for now and soon maybe a chariot or two) and I'm sure we'll come to an agreement.

Also we should probably peacefully discuss settling arrangements between our civs. We noticed your 2nd city was towards us (for the copper I believe) so hopefully we can divide the rest of the land available between us diplomatically so we can focus on establishing borders with enemies rather than friends first. Do you have a reasonable understanding of the lay of the land between us? We have atleast the immediate vacinity scouted so we could probably negotiate a little. What do you guys think?

As far as going forward we need to settle our commerce site first, and for our next city (city #4) settling N of Ruff trying to steal that spot. There had been a city sign there for a while, but I think I'd prefer to settle on a hill there so it's easier to defend. Check in game and let's discuss. The stone site we agreed upon with Ruff is OK but would be better 1S of stone rather than 1E of it. We should either break the agreement, renegotiate with Ruff or wait till T111 and settle 1S. Our deadline for settling 1E is 110 otherwise the spot is up for grabs. We should then back fill towards Rome.

Another note re tech:

if you didn't catch the chat with Exploit, I agreed to run 0% science until T71, when alphabet comes in and we get all the techs. Once we have Hunting we'll go 100% on Archery.

We need to respond to Rome's e-mail regarding troops. I'm all for giving them and what not...let's try and share some thoughts soonish so we can get a coherent response.

Yes I definitely agree Kalin's commerce city should be the first. I was merely wondering if we should attempt to grab that spot from Ruff with the next settler, though the site you refer to, to the SE is probably better. Less maintenance, more production capacity, up and running faster probably. And easier to defend.

Yes 3 axes are on their way to Rome.
