I won't write a proper report, both because of no time (a 3y old and a 2weeks old boys are taking most of my time) and because I didn't finish it (technically I probably can before tomorrow, but rushing the remaining 2AIs won't be difficult but will be time consuming since one has of shore cities)
I will still share a few of my fun time...
first a picture
My 'key' discovery was almost completely by luck, I had managed to get the Oracle and when choosing option, realised that the AP will be giving "food", so it will solve the 'food' problem of any city with no hill.
I discover a bit late that trade routes was production, so decided for the Glighthouse which I missed by a few turns to the english.
Long story short, I went to war with both english and aztecs, conquered them both.
I stop in 1260, where you could see the power of trade routes (20 'hammer' productions before any bonus)
A few more comments :
- fist building have been : granaru, AP temple, AP monastry, forge to give 5'food' from 'nowhere' to each new city.
- bureaucracy make Madrid reach the happiness too quickly, needed HR (3 units) + 4 religion temples during the english-aztecs war.
- I realise a bit late that I should have cottage first the plain tile instead of grass (old habits).
- I am desesperaet to see how [levee + US-FS] cottage/towns will change the food situation
- Production is crazy, with enough cottage, there was no untis my HE city couldn't built in 1t without wasting overflow each time (missing the 3.17 overflow gold big time on that)
More later...
