Turn 28

Greece declares war on the interturn. FYI if they declare war before you have firm borders they are not booted from your territory which kind of stinks. More units will be made.

Turn 42

The first wave of attackers is dead. I mismanaged my micro last turn and forgot that killing a unit with a slinger would complete archery so I only had 2 slingers to upgrade this turn instead of three. I will heal up the warriors for a few more turns and then will go and kill Greece with archers. I will upgrade the slingers when that last archer completes.

Turn 50

I luckily popped the inspiration for state workforce from a hut. I changed my policy over to Colonization. I will surround Ephesus soon and then take it. Athens will fall after that.

Turn 63

Ephesus has fallen to us and I am closing in on Athens. I have been rejecting Greeces request for peace, but now that I can see that they have city walls I will accept and come back with a battering ram later. They must have also had a settler stolen by the barbs so I will take that and count it a successful campaign.

Turn 100

Scoring date: Cities = 20 points Faith/turn = 58.8 points. Total 78.8 - I don't think this will be very competitive but it is ok. I did game it a little by running the + Faith adjacency bonus and putting an envoy into Kandy that I probably wouldn't have spent otherwise to get the extra Faith per turn. I will declare war on Athens next turn or the one following with 3 swords, 3 archers and a battering ram.

I have no clue how to approach a religious victory, so I'm enjoying your thread.
