We finally have the map.
I made a mistake, though, in that I was not too careful about removing signs before taking the picture, and the map includes signs marked "city". It shouldn't be too big a problem since the spots marked "city" have all been agreed upon except those that are right on our borders.
After looking at the map, though, I'm nervous about our northern cities. DIM is really starting to look squeezed in, and I'm worried that because we didn't negotiate the northern corn site, they may take it from us before we can get there. What do you think about re-prioritizing our expansion with corn city as #1 followed by either the other northern city or blue dot and then other spots?

Yeah, removing signs would have been good. Looks like the only one that will really matter though is the "England City" sign near HRE; I don't think any other sign can realistically offend anyone. Most of the signs won't even be relevant after t74 or so 
I don't see DIM being all that squeezed in. They have a ton of room to their NW and W where Korea was destroyed. I don't see us as being at any risk to lose that corn, any civ (DIM, HRE, or England) would have to be WAY overextending to snag it. I still think we should settle blue dot next, perhaps then followed by corn. (that corn, for reference, is 6E, 11S of Ottoman's capital; 8S, 10W of HRE's, 9N 10W of England's; and 5N 7E of ours. That's pretty clearly our corn in my mind.)

By the way, I am going to be out of town next week (from Saturday to Saturday). I won't have game access, and might or might not have sporadic internet access. Perhaps we could discuss mid-term planning Thursday or Friday sometime?

Sure. I'll be around the usual time tomorrow, and then around sporadically until about 3 pm on Friday.

By the way, if the turn doesn't roll over tonight, we should probably send out a message to the CAN instructing them to request maths from us next turn if they log on before us (I wouldn't want someone to log on before and not request it, and then not get it that turn if they don't log on again after us).

Do you know if we should be gifting Mali math or not? I haven't seen them get the huge score increase I would expect if they were suddenly gifted a bunch of techs by the CAN, but also the last I heard was that they were in. Hmm...

I got some good intel from CHASM on this topic tonight. The bottom line is that Mali lacks the contacts to get the major score increases. So right now they lack writing, which means that they lack the ability to be gifted maths. As soon as either Babylon meets Krill (to pick up Alpha and then send writing mali's way) or Mali meets Krill (to have writing gifted from him), we will be able to send them maths, but not until then.

By the way, are we trying to get contact with France or not? DIM sent us an email asking that we wouldn't, and I think I'd be fine with delaying the contact. What are your thoughts?
