Graphs and demos: A part of the reason why I`m slightly leaning against an attack right now is our excellent demos. We`ll soon have top mfg it we can keep up the expansion. Our crop yield is on par with the leader.
Rival average soldiers went up by 3k. Nothing too scary. I think we`ll get away with a Library build in Nambui instead of building a Barracks. We`ll probably build it afterwards, though.
Let's see ... I still can't rule out GJ somehow whipping a billion pop away that civstats took as a single score drop; based on what we can see of his empire, it's theoretically possible if Civstats works that way. I don't know; I can't think of anything else that would cause that. Average military going up by 3K is indeed not too frightening, so ... I don't know.
Going Poly -> Mono is a good idea; I'd suggest putting Muqa's library on hold (for a unit) until we finish it an revolt to OR though. Likewise at Radnashiri (and maybe some other places too; I'm not sure from the T104 screenshots). Borte is a more complicated question; I may not come up with anything in time even if there's something there. Obviously we shouldn't abort the HG build now that we've put a turn and lots of overflow into the Aqueduct; more Settlers would make it even better (if we land it) just as obviously. Hmmm....
[EDIT2: Okay, I just realized the reason we're getting the 'duct so quickly is that we're Expansive. Cool. That means the idea I posted earlier for Borte won't actually work though, so here are a couple of things to look at instead:
If we're going to have Poly+Mono finished and revolt to OR on T107, that gives us...
T105: Whip the Aqueduct, keeping all the hammer tiles.
T106: Aqueduct complete with ridiculous amounts of overflow. Start HG.
T107: 90h in HG; revolt to OR; now making 40hpt for Gardens.
T110: 210h in HG; chop plus this turn's production yields a total of 92h
T111: HG complete.
If we can't finish Poly+Mono that soon and won't revolt to OR until T108:
T105: Whip the Aqueduct, keeping all the hammer tiles.
T106: Now size 10. Aqueduct complete with ridiculous amounts of overflow. Start HG.
T107: 90h in HG.
T108: 124h in HG; revolt to OR; drop a 0h tile (cottage/oasis/rice) in favor of the (unimproved) forest. Now making 42 hpt for HG.
T110: 208h in HG; resume working the good tile instead of the forest; chop the forest, thereby gaining a total of 92h this turn.
T111: HG complete.
If we can't finish Poly+Mono that soon and won't revolt to OR until T109:
T105: Whip the Aqueduct, and work Cow + Clam + Copper + Iron + Horse + Mine + Mine + floodplain Cottage + (unimproved) forest. (Toregene gets the Rice and resumes its Market, at least for this turn.)
T106: Now size 10. Aqueduct complete with ridiculous amounts of overflow. Start HG, making 36hpt.
T109: 166h in HG. revolt to OR; now making 42hpt for HG.
T110: 208h in HG; resume working the good tile instead of the forest; chop the forest, thereby gaining a total of 92h this turn.
T111: HG complete.
Each of these gets the Gardens on T111 if no one beats us to it. So if we go with one of these plans, the question is, how many more cities can we found by T110?]
[Earlier EDIT: Also, could we get a look at State of Zijin as it stands right now, and at GJ's core with tile yields turned back on? The former is to check for a Monastery; the latter is to see if he has IW yet. It does at least look like he lacked construction as of T104 from the overview shot you took - thanks!]
Yes, part of the Aqueduct - Hanging Gardens plan was helped by the fact that we`re expansive and have a bit less to lose than some of the other Wonder-chasers. Anyway, HG is still not built anywhere. I think we have a decent chance of landing it. The plan for a t111 HG looks good to me! Let`s just get out more cities before that. I think we might finish Monotheism next turn already as we have a lot of overflow from this turn. We were just unable to research at 100 %. The slider was dialed down to 90 %.
The turn started with an offer by Dark Savant. Hmmm, why would your maps be worth such an amount of gold? I declined.
After we founded our 14th city, I might have an idea of why. It could actually be a threat. He`s got two galleys in range of our city. Well, we now have a CG1 archer and a C1 Axe there so if he`s going for it he`d pay a few units. He`s looking increasingly like a long term enemy to us.
Our workers at Nambui chopped down the ivory jungle. The city now works that tile instead of a lake. Oh, I almost forgot - we got another Buddhism spread this turn! Bulugan has a source of culture already but I`m not complaining! Muqa is now building an axe and Radnashiri a work boat that will be useful later. You`re probably right that waiting for Organized Religion is the right play here. The settler from Chubei was sent down to Muqa. I think sending it on an island W is a good plan. It has to use a few turns to get on the galley.
Finally, we met Krill this turn! Or rather, he met us. No units of his were visible. He doesn`t have Alphabet. Maybe we should offer him a map swap.
Graphs and demos: We got hold of Coerva`s graphs this turn! He seems to be building a lot of military. He`s got a lower crop yield than the rest of the players of which we have graphs. Our own demos look good. We were really struggling with production a few turns ago. Well, not anymore.
Joey`s power is not increasing. Very strange. Anyway, Donovan Zoi made 3 whips this turn so he might be under attack by Krill (or Joey).
It looks like Borte isn't working one of its mines this turn after whipping? That's fine if we can 1-turn Mono next turn - it would just mean we'd have to work the unimproved forest (as well as all the other hammer tiles) T108 and T109 to finish HG by T111 - but I wanted to make sure it was intentional.
It looks like State of Zijin still has no Monastery (nor temple). This is not surprising, as GJ may be more reluctant to sacrifice some research empire-wide on a tech he won't need for a long time than to sacrifice some worker turns and production in his front city. Plus he probably (correctly) feels pretty secure with his third-ring culture. Thanks for the screen shots!
I defnitely agree with proposing a map swap to Krill.
Bayan Kutugh wants a missionary pretty desperately....

You`re right that working both those mines is better for now. I`m excited about the possibility of landing the Hanging Gardens here.
We`re gaining a bit culture on the disputed tiles every turn. That`s good but I feel that he`ll come back to the issue at a later stage.
Map swap offered to Krill. Hopefully he`ll accept it. It`s hard to think of a reason why he would decline as we have a mutual interest of containing Greece.
Bayan Kutugh has a missionary on its way that will spread the faith in 2 turns. It`s decidedly not ideal but I see this city as a vital outpost that`ll shield Radnashiri from random attacks coming from the east. Sadly, it doesn`t get 3 food in the city center as I believed. Let`s see how Dark Savant reacts to our declination of his deal. It`s got nothing for value for us as we`d still not even get a Peace Treaty from it so he`d be free to attack regardless. Btw, Dark Savant has been playing after me for quite a few turns, he might still go for an attack..
As I haven`t showed a lot of city screens - here is a sample.
EDIT: Just after I logged out, Dark Savant logged in! Let`s see if our defenses hold for now. If we were to lose a city it wouldn`t be a catastrophe actually. It`s our least developed city and Dark Savant wouldn`t gain anything from razing it.
I don't think the 80g map trade request was a threat; I suspect the thinking behind it was some combination of, "Man, I really could use 80 gold; is there any way I can get it? Oh, hey, maybe someone will give me some gold for my map!" and "I have heard that you should always start negotiations with a ridiculous request, and then the other person will come back with a reasonable one." (I'm taking it on trust that Dark Savant isn't confusing SP with MP quite to the extent of thinking, "Hey, an AI would accept this trade!")
The problem of course is that it's not just a ridiculous request, it's a completely ridiculous request. What would we counter-offer? 1 gold? 2 gold? Do we honestly care enough about his maps to even pay anything for them? I'm inclined to say no at this stage.
Bayan Khutugh was never going to be anything more than a sentry post to watch for attacks incoming to our more important island cities, but that's a valuable role to play! When we eventually get that horse pasture-chopped, we should make sure Kokejin takes the tile just before the chop/pasture completes, but ... I mean, we need a Worker there first, obviously.
In the Chubei area: I'm inclined to build roads on the cows and bananas before chopping the jungle (though I would chop the jungle, subject to higher worker priorities.)
Near Nambui, at least one Worker should chop the silks (to speed pre-Construction passage southward across the river) but I think I'd send at least one to chop the jungle west of Nambui itself (unless you have a more specific plan for them; chopping that jungle is just to prevent GJ from walking a slow-mover stack right up to the city with defensive tiles all along the way.)
Another wonder fell this turn. Dtay built the Colossus! He also got a Great Scientist. Joey got his Great Spy. The Hanging Gardens are still up for grabs and at worst we`ll get a lot of fail gold. Having at least a couple of turns invested in the wonder with Organized Religion would help, of course.
It turns out that Dark Savant had two settlers ready so he`s grabbing the land S of Radnashiri. At least we should make sure that we get the forest pig site SW of Radnashiri. If he takes that site as well, I think we need to discuss radical measures to put an end to the expansion.. The settler we`re building in Chubei can build it on t112 iirc. Our settler in Muqa went W and has two options. It could build the strong site on the mainland NW of Borte or it can board the galley on t108. We have an archer now to accompany it so I`m leaning towards sending it out to claim contested lands.
I opted to cut down the jungle directly W of Nambui. That jungle is a potential risk to us so the sooner we get rid of it, the better. The worker NW of Chubei put a turn into a road.
The map offer by Dark Savant is indeed quite ridiculous. We don`t have any reason to accept it. I agree with not offering anything back for his maps. Btw, he hasn`t swapped maps with Gavagai of Couerva (a few turns ago) so we probably have more information on the world than he has.
We`re comfortably 1 turning Monotheism at 20 % science so we`ve got an excellent chance of landing Judaism. Toregene is probably the big favorite to land the religion as it`s the biggest city of ours without a religion present.
