[SPOILERS] JR4 tries his luck in PB 37

Terrific! It's great to see the Gardens in the Capital, and we may one day get an Engineer out of it on top of everything else! I think I agree with all of these moves, assuming there's a plan to use the workboat from Radnashiri. If it's not really needed soon, +100% on a Market isn't realy that much different from +125%, so we could certainly start on that first. Either option is good regardless.

Borte will eventually want a temple, but there's no urgency since it has happiness to spare. It'll even be worth building a monastery there just for the +10% science, but since it's starting a Settler now, the next build it grows on will probably be a Ger.

I agree with starting Moai in Nambui. If we want another unit down there, we can build it elsewhere and send it down. I'm looking forward to getting Judaism down there to whip another monastery and temple into Moai too....

(The city borrowing the corn for a turn is Danashri, by the way. I have trouble keeping track of all of them too though, now with 15 cities and more on the way!)

Other stuff:

- The game's "population" numbers don't actually reflect total real pop; a small number of large cities count for a lot more "population" in the demos than a large number of small cities.

- If GJ doesn't get any more culture into State of Zijin, Nambui should reclaim its second ring around T120 (maybe slightly sooner, especially if we get a little more culture into Nambui). We'll claim the bananas a little sooner than that because Toregene is now putting pressure on the tile too (having popped borders this turn).

Heh, if the biggest problem we have is that of remembering the names of all the cities, we`re probably doing okay. City number 16 is about to be built as well! I`ll get to the turn in a couple of hours.

We really can`t wait for Nambui to expand borders. Getting control of the banana tile is going to be good. The worker down there is just building a farm for now. We`d rather have it cut down the jungle on the banana and the copper but we`ll probably have to wait until we regain control of those tiles first.

TURN 112

Gavagai got a random Judaism spread in Bursa (it`s a size 11 mainland city). Nothing else exciting in the event log. We`re comfortably finishing Horseback Riding at 30 % science. Eot we`ll complete Markets in Muqa, Chubei and Kokejin! That should help our economy to recover from the maintenance burden of all the new cities. Also, Sugabala is 3 turning a Market. EXP Markets and Organized Religion is a good combination.

Our 16th city was settled this turn, Oljei Baajii! That`s another 7 food for us plus the trade routes.

We face a dilemma on the western sea. The axe/settler pair can make landfall on the forest next turn or we could take a gamble and go for the gold (building on the bananas). I`m inclined to go for the high risk/high reward gold island here. We`ll have a lot of tension on that island as Gavagai is CRE so our city will have to be defended accordingly.

Finally, our missionary spread the faith to Radnashiri. It`s a bit annoying that it never got a free spread but we can`t do much about it.

Graphs and demos: Everything is still looking good. Note that Joey built a few units so we`re not that far ahead of him in power.

I forgot to mention that a worker from Sugabala island is being ferried over to Kokejin to start on the horse pasture. Actually, we should probably send it even further to finish the pigs pasture in Bayan Khutugh`s bfc when its borders expand t117. Later, it can finish the horse pasture.

TURN 113

And that`s the second turn of the day. As all 3 Markets finished our economy improved quite a lot. Research is set to Code of Laws. I`m thinking about going CoL - Civil Service for Bureaucracy. At least it`s usually a good play in SP. How early do veteran civ players go for that? Our tech rate is excellent right now (we`re approaching 300 beakers per turn!)

Annoyingly, Dalyetimishi couldn`t whip a Lighthouse yet so it`s working coast for now. I don`t think we have any options there. Unless you`re strongly opposed to it, we`re going for the shared gold island. We`re playing to win and have to take some risks imo.

Chubei started a Ger. It borrows the cow from Muqa this turn. Muqa is building an archer that is needed in the new island city. It could start a Ger on t115. Toregene is finishing a missionary this turn. Where should we send it? As already mentioned, we have 3 good options. I`m thinking Nambui - Muqa - Oghul Qaimish in that order.

Graphs and demos: Our population is growing quickly. We have a few big cities now. I think we have a healthy level of military right now. Enough to defend ourselves but we`re not going overboard with it.

Okay, cool!

Given all of that, here's a possible plan to shave 3 turns off of Moai while also adding a Jewish Temple (for a little more culture and eventually happiness) and building a Settler: (At this point, I think speeding Moai is more important than the extra culture from a Monastery; the temple is there mainly to shave another turn off of Moai with 0 net happiness cost since its bonus balances the whip.)

T114: Jewish Missionary is complete at Toregene and moves E-SE to to the roaded Silks. Toregene starts another Jewish Missionary. Nambui is now size 8 and works all its resource tiles and all four Lighthouse Lakes (taking the last one back from Toregene).
T115: Jewish Missionary moves to Nambui and attempts to spread Judaism. If it succeeds, Nambui starts a Jewish Temple and works Crab + Grassland Cow + Ivory + Grassland Farm + All Four Lighthouse Lakes. (Working the farm instead of the plains cow is a pure loss of 3 hammers, but it means we'll be able to generate a lot more whip overflow for Moai, which in turn completes it 1-2 turns sooner, which more than makes up for the 3 lost hammers with >3 hammers per turn.)
T116: Nambui is now size 9, with one unhappy face. If last turn's Judaism spread was successful, it WHIPS its temple (9 pop to 7) and works Crab + Cow + Cow + Ivory + 3 Lighthouse Lakes. (Back to working its best tiles.)
T117: Jewish Temple complete at Nambui, which is now size 8. It resumes Moai, working all its resource tiles and all the lighthouse lakes.
T119: Nambui is now size 9, with one unhappy face. It starts a Settler.
T120: Nambui WHIPS its Settler (9 pop to 5!) and works Crab + Cow + Cow + Ivory + Lighthouse Lake.
T121: Settler complete at Nambui, which resumes Moai.
T122: Nambui is now size 6 and picks up another Lighthouse Lake.
T124: Moai is complete at Nambui, which is now size 7.

Er, except I somehow missed seeing T113 until now. I'll have a look, but might not comment tonight as it's wayyyyyy too late already....

Okay, let's see:
1) We need a Buddhist missionary at Oljei Baajii as soon as we can get one.
2) I'd suggest whipping the Market into a Libary at Radnashiri as soon as that's possible.
3) CoL is a good tech, and Bureau is too; the question is just whether we have more urgent priorities.
4) I'm not sure if it would be worthwhile to head further south than Gav's gold island, or not. I had momentarily forgotten he was CRE though. The gold city would be on flatland and initially vulnerable to a chariot on a galley. Since he'll control the contested second-ring tile, after Gav gets Engineering (if our cities both last that long) he'll be able to one-turn the city with fast-movers from his city - including any that are on boats that can get into his city. Doesn't mean we can't do it anyway, but ... this is Gav we're talking about. Will that city have seafood in the south or west? If so, I have a feeling there will be conflict over it, and we may not be able to afford that given our concerns with our GJ border.
