I loose a quadrireme, freshly built to a barbarian caravel.
Damn...
Everything else going semi-according to plan.
Oledavy´s science remains scary, but I am much more vulnerable to Singaboy and I think I am better off preventing his rise together with Oledavy.

I did not want to declare in the thread, before Square Rigging is in, but Oledavy could loose his nerve and do something drastic.
A three way DP with Woden and Oledavy is the way to go, till turn 120.
Then we are gonna attack Singaboy. I doubt I can conquer more then 1-2 cities, but I need to strike when my navy is still strong. His production will soon overwhelm me down the road.
Oledavy, this will be too little too late.

A quick 2nd batch of quadriremes, soon to be frigates.
As long as Woden wakes up (unlikely seeing his NAP and Milpower) and Oledavy does not loose his nerve, I am confident I can at least put a brake on Singaboy.
Time to plan fleet movements after the initial engagements.

I look forward to see real naval warfare combined with Great Admirals. I'm a very happy lurker right now!

4 frigates, 4 caravels (2 with naval promotion), 1 frigate fleet are upgraded. 3 quadriremes stand ready for an upgrade if I can scrounge together money. Loan requests are enroute to Oledavy and Woden.
I fear it will be not enough, although the battle results of a frigate fleet, double Gadmiraled are scary. But Germany can easily produce military at a rate that is scary. Was so in PBEM #2, will be so here. At least I am not alone.

Fleet advantage, with 2 Gadmirals.
Against Hansapowered production monsters. I do not like my odds, I am nervous.
2 more frigates, 1 more next turn, thanks to longterm loans.
I can not do anymore then wait for the Napend turn 120.

Turn 119, I can feel the blood pumping.
Here is the strikeforce:
The western approaches and the eastern navy at zitronenstadt are 5 caravels and one frigate, one must assume 1-2 xbowmen somewhere.
But the good news, Singaboy is going for Toronto? A very peculiar move. With my navy at Zitronenstadt he could feint a land attack in my west, but now I know I can strike with impunity for about 5 turns. It will have to be enough. A shame though I just managed to Suzerain them.
With enough frigates on my end., he either offers me battle or he will loose Zitronenstadt in 1 turn.

Even though results are encouraging, I have been burnt before.
Nevertheless, after forcing Singaboy to defend both coasts, I carefully move my fleet alltogether east to Zitronenstadt.
Threats are Frigates > Caravels > City walls > Crossbowmen, so I prioritise accordingly. Zitronenstadt should fall next turn and I should be able to catch his wounded frigate.
His 3 caravels are free to either run against my city walls north or file 1 by 1 to the slaughter.

Nobody builds harbours and Singaboy dows Toronto even after seeing my fleet parade around.
Well, I am not going to screw this up again.
1.) No razing, even if it means I could get stuck.
2.) No splitting up, no delay in advance, even if I loose a unit. Time is of the essence.
Thus, we start out at:
Zitronenhain is easily taken and I uncover a Frigate and Knight inside Kiel.
By bringing everything in, we take it.
Crossbowmen with their 40 ranged can maybe together kill a caravel, but they would all die staying in range, so I take that risk.
Next turn a caravel will scout east and if no city is in sight, we turn around leaving 1 or 2 frigates in place for stragglers.

Two Crossbowmen are killed by frigates who hang back a bit, I need to turn my fleet to the other side and I do not want Singaboy to take back kiel which is a true catch. Why, Great Persons points. They do not care about reduced production.
The eastern coast unfortunately does not house another city of Singaboy. But I am happy I went for overkill on frigates, his morale must be devastated because of Kiel. This will make things easier. Now to plan our land invasion and get money for it. Muskets and Crossbowmen will be needed for this, I fear.
My suboptimal scouting makes this a dangerous affair. I know the east coast of Singaboy, but not his southwest one.
I admit being first is nice, even if it is temporary, most probably, after my two defeats.
