New Civ4 Pitboss (38?)

So you're saying you're in  nod

So we have 23 players, this looking like the final number? Probably going to start motions toward map creation here soon.

Sounds good smile

I was talking about map-hacking the size to improve tech pace, but actually on Monarch or Prince the techs don't seem overly costly, so don't worry about that.

I always intended to play so that's 24. I think xenu is in too but you may need to comfirm that with him, or I can.

Also, Auburn sucks. War Damned Turkeys! neenerneener

I definitely shouldn't be, but I'm in.

Greetings all, I guess I'm one of those who are also tempted by a big PB and I'll be teaming up with OH once again..

Has Krill completely changed the game again during the past years with RtR and is there anything else that one needs to do in order to catch up?
Finished:
PBEM 45G, PB 13, PB 18, PB 38 & PB 49

Top 3 favorite turns:
#1, #2, #3

mischief Looks like you scared everyone away...

Question for Krill/everyone - are we going with v2.0.8.3 RtR mod (download and read changelog here) or are the proposed changes for the next version going to be made in time? (Especially given Krill's new job - congrats Krill!)

Oh, and did anyone have a preference for the pick method other than Adrien's suggestion (below)?

What I'd like better would be if we could just get 3 leaders and civs* to choose from, and choose what you want based off that. (with Pro/Inca being soft-banned, I guess)

edit: just saw these; either one is fine with me too.

AdrienIer Wrote:For the picking method I propose the PB32 method. You get rolled a leader and civ, can reroll the leader, the civ, or both. You get three chances.

BrickAstley Wrote:I could always roll a whole roster of unrestricted matches, and then have people rank them Diplomacy style. That would give you a lot to consider, good agency, and fill some time lol

I'm happy with any of these, but like Adrien's best. I'd kinda like a starting screenshot before choosing though.

Well, I'd like to partake in a snake pick one day, but sure, if it'll get the game going quicker I'll get on board with the PB32 method.

Snake doubles as a roll call, fwiw.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Fwiw I vaguely feel like snake pick would be degenerate with this many people in some way, though ironically i'm not sure which position exactly I think gets screwed over... which might just be good evidence I'm wrong about that lol.

Fine with snake, fine with 32 method.
