Thought as much, but I have no idea what's actually possible to mod. It seems you can edit/replace things, but not really add something new? Like, you could overhaul an entire race, but not add a new one?

Quick question. On my first turn I always mess around with taxes, to see what I can get away with. But when I reset them to the original taxes, I have a rebel which I didn't have before, but nothing actually changed!
Is this because taxes/rebels don't update mid-turn, and I would've had the rebel next turn anyway, had I not messed with taxes?
Is it possible to change the order units are selected in battle? I'm not sure of the logic behind it, but it seems that melee units get selected before ranged, while I nearly always want ranged to act first (and depending on how they perform, melee either attacks or retreats). So most battles I have to go: wait, wait, wait, shoot, shoot, shoot, walk walk walk, while I'd rather just start by shooting first. So, ranged units being selected first.
Not a big deal, would just be a slight quality of life improvement. (Thinking about it, I suppose it may just be those with highest damage acting first, regardless of melee/ranged).
There's a discussion on this topic in the main thread. Somewhere. It was decided to not implement that, despite the quality of life.
What's up with these guys? Got offered as mercenaries, but shouldn't they belong to a race? And how come they have so much resistance?

They are Nomad Pikemen. Looks like the "display race" flag isn't set for Pikemen for whatever reason - maybe because there are only 2 kinds?
High resistance is a normal Nomad trait. |
