Didn't realize how many retired games there were until compiling this list. Even though I set up the scenario to make coming to a victory condition fairly quick, on a small map with a good medieval UU/UB. Was there something that the sponsor could do to encourage playing to completion, or is this just kind of going to happen anyway?

Stop all the pitboss and PBEM games going on! I think maybe people are prioritising that right now. From what I recall there was quite a lot of interest on the discussion page.

There were 13 reports submitted for a game released in late 2005. Pretty darn good IMHO. Remember how many reports were coming in before the Pitboss games started.

It was really the perfect variant for this point in the CIV life cycle, since by now everyone knows what works. In my case I decided to really micro the city management and it just took more time than I had with my participation in PB2 and PBEM3 frown.
