If you are putting in a request, might as well ask to the mapmaker to put that desert gold on a floodplain?

Because I don't want to be OP, I just want to be small, nobody wants a fifty-city empire in the first hundred turns.

Although I might need to be talked out of this naming scheme...

In the order by which the states joined the union!

I'm really regretting my signup. Krill's esoteric balance designs being what they are, we're probably going to be on some hideously unnatural abomination.

Here are the choices we rolled for you - when you've decided whether to keep the civ or reroll it, and which (if either) of the leaders you want to keep, post the inforrmation here to let us know.

Options:
Mansa Musa (Fin/Spi)
Kublai Khan (Cha/Cre)
Rome

Your corner of the hideously unnatural abomination:

The essential form of the BFC may be relied upon, though we might still make superficial changes e.g. to whether the trees are deciduous, conifers, or snowy, and we might imaginably even rotate the whole thing 90 degrees or something since the surrounding terrain is still being finalized. The corner tiles may yet change, and the fog is a fabric of lies, but at least you've got your start!

Also, in case it's not obvious due to the resource icon partly blocking the yield icons, note that your elephants live in a forest.

(Actually Krill gave up on making the map almost a month ago; whether it's up to his standards of hideous unnaturalness remains to be seen, but given that I'm involved, there's very little doubt it'll be some kind of abomination!)

Sure, I'll take Kublai Khan of Rome.

In case anyone was curious as to why, I think KK of Rome is actually a pretty awesome bunch of benefits:
-Creative means I can completely ignore religion, beginning now, lasting forever.
-Libraries get +68% speed being built, which means if I lurch to just Writing, I can hammer my way forward on scientists at 0%
-RtR swords are dope. Praetorians are doper. Praetorians easily built to 4xp are megadopest.
-Whipping is going to be huge. So yay Chm.

I want to find a newbies and whip out a massive Praet/cat army and just nom him. Then proceed on from there...

How are you getting the +78% figure for Libraries? I'd have thought that the +35%'s would just add to +70, but either way that's a pretty good bonus. If only you had Arabia for the ultimate synergy.

Er, it's 68%. 33% for Cre, 35% for Cha. Still, almost as good as Ole Creative. Maddrassae would do little for the man who care naught a wit for religion, and Kubbles, more than anyone else, is that man. Got the happy, got the culture.
