Anyone up for an EitB SG?

And Basium, since the raider boys do everything together.

Is Tasunke coming in with an actual stack? Or is this the sort of triggered attack by the summoner of Basium against the top evil civ?

Kandros' stack is pretty slow, and we can hold it up with mobius witches with the Air 2 spell and a few sacrificial Pyre Zombies. We may have to give up a city or two while dealing with Tasunke. Also, we shouldn't try too hard to hold on to our recent conquests

See this is why I wanted mithril so badly lol

Mithril would certainly help, but adding Falamar to our active enemies list might not be the best idea. That would have everyone but the Elohim at war with us at once, which is sort of an achievement but maybe not the one we really want to be aiming for. lol

Tasunke may have just been looking for another target once Sabathiel was no longer keeping him occupied; he did have a very big army sitting around with nothing to do. Or this might be because of Basium. Either way it is a sizable problem, especially being at the same time as Kandros attacking us.

We can slow down the invading stacks, but can we actually destroy them with what we have?

Mithril would only help our zombies, who are slower than erosion and dwindling in numbers.

I could have finished off the dwarven stack in a few more turns, but dealing with speedy raider horsemen and chariots is another kettle of fish. They can outrun us in our own territory. Did we already pop the Hippus world spell?

We did pop the hippus world spell. We can hope the AI is dumb enough to keep they're horsies in a stack with 1-movers

Ok I've played five turns so far. Doing more killing than dying but the enemies's stacks are big.

In the west no cities have changed hands, and I've been doing a zone defence. But at the moment Kandros has a big stack of units camped outside Frohlik assassins protected by slingers, very hard to fight. In the east we lost two former Bannor cities but recaptured them.

Will play the rest of the set tomorrow.

Chaos Marauders are a thing, and I think we can build them in almost every city by now, no?

But yeah a lot was predicated on having time to build up some more after taking Dragon's Hoard, but that's out the window now soooooo.

I dunno if Dave finished Prophecy of Ragnarok but trying to force blight and force the AC up for potentially more gate units and a stronger world spell could be an option too.

Sounds like very good work so far, Brian. thumbsup

Would using our world spell be useful here? Just to damage/slow down the AIs a bit?

12% damage isn't enough. I don't really have enough units to counter their unit spam at the moment, so it's more a case of picking my battles and hoping that I can get enough kills (in the first turn I had awful luck with the spectres, losing half the battles at 90+% odds).

Some Area effect spells and fireballs would be the way to go, but unfortunately, not enough of our Witches are coming out that way.
