In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

I’d be interested in PBEM.

any specific reason for a PBEM vs a Pitboss?

I would be interested in ded-lurking someone, I definitely consider myself an unskilled noob, but simply do not have the time to actually play a pitboss/PBEM right now. I wouldn’t mind bouncing some theorycrafting/sims off of someone else if they’re willing, however.

It would allow me to play turns disconnected from the internet (e.g my commute)

interesting. i have never done a PBEM before, so it would be a first for myself anyway.

to be honest, although id love to do a PBEM, i dont see it keeping a good pace compared to a pitboss, and i kinda like the pitboss's ability for multiple people to be going at the same time.
although its likely to be long enough before this could even start that it doesnt matter too much to me.
