Yeah because it is always a "new" battle unit on the overland view, it will never show turn 2 stats and turn 1 works fine.

For Aura of Majesty, make it so it only improves relations by +1 per turn, but it also reduces unrest by 1 across your whole empire, i.e. 1 less rebel per town. This makes sense and also gives Sorcery an economic buff.

Sorcery already has the best economy, and for the research cost of aura of majesty, an economy buff would probably be excessive.

While I agree sorcery does not need the buff, how come? Compared to life city buffs, sorcery has only Uranus?
That said, aether binding is probably the single most powerful power-production boost.  While Just Cause is actually not that far behind, because it comes so early. Uranus is awesome if you get it up on all-built towns, but it comes late and is almost prohibitively expensive. Does sorcery have something going for it that I've missed?

Uranus' blessing in 10 cities (with both amp and wizards) is better than all the life economy in every city combined, including life force and enlightenment.

Aether binding is stronger than just cause and stream of life in every city (unless you are suffering unrest curses such as famine or doomsday), and you can easily rush it so fast that you can't cast it because the maintenance is more than how much it gives you.

Time stop is better than all the other economy Globals combined.

IMO Word of Recall should be an Uncommon Arcane spell that costs 100 to cast. The good thing about it having been a Common spell in MoM was that at least it was easy to grab. IMO White with 3 Blue books for Word of Recall and Counter Magic was really powerful. I like the WoR ability, but think it needs to be more expensive and open to everyone.

Would it be possible to change Focus Magic so that it gives some kind of breath or similar attack when the unit doesn't have any special to deliver at a range? It's incredibly annoying to have heroes like the bard be forced to do 4 useless ranged attacks before being able to start hitting things.

Your unit will use melee if it's more than twice as strong as the ranged. If it's not, then your hero has no business in melee anyway.

Word of recall: with free summoning circle (required for ai decision making), word of recall let's the human have their strongest stack everywhere they need, all the time. Compare to earth gate, word of recall is about 4 times as good, and earth gate is a very rare* spell for only one realm. So word of recall would have to be the same tier as spell of mastery.


* There is a comment right now about earth gate maybe needing to be rare, although I'm really not sure rare could be moved. I could certainly see that, so maybe word of recall only needs to be very rare.

Word of recall : See the rejected suggestions thread. Please avoid suggesting features that have already been done so but were rejected.

Focus Magic : As Nelphine says. If your hero has so low melee attack, they shouldn't try to use it anyway.
