That power graph is looking pretty good. Nice work on taking the fight to the Romans.
I would recommend against starting another war before we have finished off Julius. Keeping our military effort focused is important, and we can keep pulling in some trade income while we finish off Rome. Willem grabbing some tundra does not really worry me much -- it is just tundra. And his cities will stop barbs from spawning, which was a big part of why we wanted to settle that land anyway. Let him do the early development work and we can conquer those cities later.
I am more concerned about what Gilgamesh is doing while everyone else is busy fighting. He is sitting quietly in his chunk of the map, not fighting many barbs or wasting his energy fighting wars. He may be a big problem in the future.
Good luck, Brian!

Won't see the save until tonight, but my opinion at this stage is we have two goals, a) keep the finances strong and b) keep pumping units. The war machine is everything, so don't be too surprised if side projects like the Nat Park get ignored.

Ok took a quick peek at the save and we're mostly in good shape, except we've no siege units left. I know we're pushing to Steel and cannon but at the same time we're not building enough units (we can always kill science for a few turns to upgrade catas and trebs).
So I'll be re-assigning build tasks over the set to try and get more units out. Another thing, West Point in Cholo is a mistake, it'll bring that city up to 15XP units 2XP short of the next promo. We've more than enough XP coming out of that city so I'll nix that right away. Another good unit city should build the wonder to get two high promo unit pumps going (tbh Ironworks are a better fit for the city, moar units faster HE/Iron being the holy grail for getting units out of a city).
In war terms keep pushing Rome. I think our next target should be Willem, he's a dead man walking as is, better put him out of his misery. And after that the hills are our oysters (those mythical beasts) as nobody else is a tech rival for us.
Will play tomorrow. Am currently sweltering in a heat wave of previously unheard of (since the 1870's anyway) temperatures of 32C

The way this game has been going we will certainly get another GG, ig we wanted to get Cholo to 17 XP with West Point. Our trait free promos plus four promos could be fun to play around with. Also, I would rather have West Point built and benefitting us than wait for some potential future better city. But it is your call.
I agree we should keep pushing Rome. Julius has come back to attack us too many times already. We need to finish him off completely.
Where is Gilgamesh in tech? I am a bit worried about him not fighting anyone, and just cruising along doing his thing without interference.
Good luck!

The big reason is that we shouldn't really take Cholo off units unless it's a case the build makes a better payoff in the long run. At <1 extra promotion the West Point payoff is nowhere near good enough.

I think we do want west point in Cholo if we can; as haphazard1 says, we'll get 4 promo gunpowder units, which is enough for commando rifles, infantry and the like. Those units are amazing, especially if we can beat our opponents up a tech tier.
I think Mansa comes after Rome to consolidate that backline and get control of the AP + Shrine?
Might have to bite into Gilgy. Do we know where the MoM is?

Commando units en masse are shockingly effective. They just absolutely roll over entire empires; even 1-movers are significantly faster even than tanks (And commando cavs get SIX moves in enemy territory.)

If we are building West Point, do we have stone? I think that Gilgamesh was happy to trade it earlier in the game?

That’s a good point, shallow_thought. We shouldn’t build it without a doubler.
I took a look at the save; our specialist management is a bit ... haphazard (I really was saving that for after you played, haphazard1, alas). We have done a good job of adding cities and workers but we do need more siege units. We also should take a look at our tile management. For example, paperboy wasn’t working the incense but instead a spy specialist. I think gauntlet is using a desert hill windmill with an unimproved grassland hill available.
These are little things but they will help. Also: we have some unhappiness from war weariness. Can we get ivory and gold from gilgamesh?
I think we should attack Mansa Musa after Rome. Mostly because our armies will be in the area and his GNP is near ours.

We can get gold for wheat from Giggles. I checked last night. IIRC wheat is the only spare resource he wants.
