[SPOILERS] Charriu and Zalson are fighting the honorable post count war!

Looks like RFS took back Utopia. No wonder I only had one chariot in there.

The Utopia is over. lol Apparently RFS was fed up with the whole situation and deceided to raze his own city. But first his attack:

C1 Axeman     vs     C1 Shock Chariot = 96.6 = Win (Axeman 2.4 HP)

I returned the attack with my chariot waiting NE of the city

C1 Shock Chariot     vs     C1 Axeman = 99.9 = Win (Flawless victory)

I got a nice view on RFS Capitol. Well that's way to much for me to take right now, but I took the time to pillage that crab for 6 gold. RFS also moved his lonely axeman near Galura to the desert hill as expected, but I did not attack. I already got my Great General from the attack with the chariot and I don't want to risk loosing another important axeman in a 60% battle for basically nothing.

I send RFS a peace offer. These are my main reason:
  • The next best cities to conquer from RFS are/were Utopia and his capitol. Utopia is gone and his capitol well defended.
  • I therefore see no good cities to add to my empire. Every other city is way to far from my core.
  • RFS also has Walls in his capitol and propably in his other cities, too.
  • Shallow whipped a lot in the last turns and my start an attack on RFS, too. I would like RFS to focus on that attack.
  • Coeurva got Iron Working and iron.  Siren PRAETORIAN ALARM Siren Right now I'm equal on power with Coeurva and I want to remain equal or stronger then him to keep him away from attacking me.

Also in other minor international news somebody got a Great Scientist.

Back at home there is something that concerns me:

Shallow moved his immortal from Siren to the red circle. From there he could easily bord his galley, which could then move 1SW; declare war; and move 1W. From there Magissa and Exdeath are in danger of an attack. I moved some more archers to Exdeath, so it should be safe, but Magissa has it worse. I ordered an archer which I could whip next turn. If all things go down I could also promote the warrior to a spearman for 80 gold, but I would rather not.
I still hope that Shallow does not go down that crazy route and tarnish our relationship in this game. After all he also profits from the Open border agreement a bit and should he resort to such a move I won't sign an open border agreement with him again.

I forgot to mention. I settled the Great General in Wing Raptor. I intend to build it up as my main unit production center and with the general I know get +5 exp in that city or in other words 2 promotions.

Maybe, but only later as a filler. I will do an update of my dotmap after I settled blue dot.

RFS accepted my peace offer. Great. But unfortunate for him, Shallow declared war on him. Boy, he really does not get a break. At least he can concentrade on Shallow for now. As you can see my galley with a swordsman and axeman was displaced to the south, I did forget about that. I offered RFS an Open Border agreement, so that my galley can escape from his culture, but also so that it gives him some commerce for the fight against Shallow.

Lighthouse finally got out of revolt and the culture increase revealed something shocking.  eek Coeurva/OT4E is on the move to Lighthouse with his main force. I highly doubt that this is meant for RFS and more to get back on me.

This is my current force in Lighthouse (I want to rename it as soon as it is safe enough). The good thing is Coeurva can only declare war in T102 so I have some turns to prepare. This is what I did and will do:
  • Moved 2 workers to the iron and build a road in T101
  • Move the axeman (1NE of the iron) from Forza to Lighthouse. Maybe he gets there in time.
  • By T102 most of my units in Lighthouse should be healed and have adequat fortification bonus of 20%
  • I ordered Walls in Lighthouse, which I can whip in T101. Being Protective is awesome.
  • All cities that were building Research are back to unit production. Currency has to wait.
  • Moved more archers and axeman towards Forza.
  • Forza also started Walls now.
  • Moved a chariot from Lighthouse to the desert hill 1E of his forces and pillaged the road. This should delay any of his forces and he knows that I know about his plans. I also found another axeman there.
  • Coeurva/OT4E will propably move his main force 1S next turn. I will move the pillaging chariot there, too. Maybe this will displace some of his units, when he declares war in T102.

This is his force on the forest near Forza.

Shallow did not try any shenanigans and hopefully is to occupied with RFS to do anything towards me. I also moved my settler party consisting of 1 axeman and 2 spearman towards blue dot, which I can settle in T102.

I also planned to post new SML goals and my opinions about "Who is winning?", but I need more time to write it down.

I desperately need currency and/or the Great Lighthouse

Still doing great in this section.

Shallow has way to much space.

Seems like Coeurva/OT4E did not whip units last turn.

If you have a unit on the tile with his stack that will cause him to teleport back. That is a good thought, and will buy you an extra turn if your chariot is on the Forrest 1N of your culture

When does your peace agreement with Couerva expire? Also, it is more than a little lame that OT4E is playing turns in this greens game. I hope he is just subbing for Couerva while on vacation and isn't taking over...

(August 23rd, 2018, 10:09)Charriu Wrote: Short:
  1. Conquer Lighthouse around T89
  2. Conquer at least another city from RFS until T100, either pig city or his capitol.
  3. Research Alphabet and produce more research for Currency.
  4. Look into building the Great Lighthouse in Karlabos and go through with it if it is worth it.
  5. More cottages around Exdeath
  6. Build or capture at least 3 more workers
Mid:
  1. Research to Construction to take RFS capitol if I need cats.
  2. Research Currency.
  3. Stabilize finance with a market and cottages in Exdeath.
  4. Maybe finish The Great Lighthouse.
  5. Secure the blue dot spot
  6. Settle empty land around RFS
Long:
  1. Build enough military to take the gold from Coeurva
  2. Research Machinery
  3. Prepare for the Praetorians from Coeurva.

Well it's that time again:

Short:
  1. I did conquer Lighthouse, but later then expected, because of my war with Coeurva/OT4E.
  2. I actually did conquer another city, but it was worthless and I couldn't have defended it against Coeurva/OT4E anyway.
  3. Did that.
  4. I started the Great Lighthouse and am looking to finish it in T107
  5. Check
  6. My 10th worker will be finished in T101. With soon 8 mainland cities I would best have 12 workers.
Mid:
  1. This is totally out of reach with the current maintenance and war with Coeurva/OT4E on the horizon
  2. I desperately need currency, maybe the Great Lighthouse gives me a way to get there.
  3. Need currency for that.
  4. Due in T107
  5. Can be settled in T102
  6. Not worthwhile right now.
Long:
  1. This will take some more time
  2. Research is very bad right now.
  3. Praetorians are coming in the next 20 turns
So with all of this in mind I'm looking at the following new goals:

Short:
  1. Finish The Great Lighthouse in T107
  2. Settle blue dot in T102 and build up it's defenses, while Shallow is distracted with RFS
  3. Defend Lighthouse and Forza as best as I can. Those must not fall.
  4. Get currency
  5. End the war with Coeurva/OT4E soon and get another 10 turn peace deal.
  6. Build 2 more workers
Mid:
  1. Tech Metal Casting-> Machinery
  2. Build CKNs
  3. Build Moai in Lighthouse
Long:
  1. Finish up RFS
  2. Take that gold from Coeurva/OT4E
I admit that those goals are a bit vague, which mainly due to the upcoming uncertainties of war.
