Test games played

2k weapon lol /o\ when you feel you can afford to spend 20 turns like that you've already won...
... And you've only used horsebowmen as expensive garrisons, with half your workers doing food. So as werewolves works without exploiting the race at all and actually having an handicap... Ug... Are they op? I don't have that feeling but that's the result of this test imho. On the were-lizard: surely there's another procedure already to check if a unit is on land? Random idea - looking at all the unrest I realise it'd be nice to see at a glance how much gold you're wasting to it. Maybe in the city screen? Quote:On the were-lizard: surely there's another procedure already to check if a unit is on land?Don't think so, since it's a simple check of a byte in an array, but even if there was, you can't just call anything from anywhere in a segmented DOS exe that has overlays. Also, at the moment there is exactly 1 free byte left there lol, a call would require 7. Maybe I'll try moving the entire procedure to somewhere else with more space (the end of the exe file) but there is no guarantee that works so I rather not until there is something much more important reason for it.
btw I already have enough werewolves and the shadow demons are not coming until the research is done so I kinda have free turns with nothing else to cast anyway for the item.

But i agree with Bahgtru that game is already won and it doesnt really matter what you do. You can slowly conquer whole map with 2 stacks or do it fast with 4 stacks or go into economy and win by using vary rare spells. Werewolves already did enough damage to the AI. And still can, AI still has no way to kill 9 werewolves. Even death wizard can't as he has no shadow demons yet and best city scouted had only 5 wolves for the defence. I guess the plan from the start was to go into late game and use werewolves only to get a good start not to win by using them)

Planning to do at least one more part later today. I might play the same thing one more time because I feel the AI got the bad end of the stick with their starts this game. Even if I do, I'll likely release 5.44 after this run is done though, as long as it's bug-free. You could have conquered all his cities except for may be fortress. Why is making him an ally better? Should have shown him what a true maniacal/militaristic wizard is! It might be too late now to change plans so that is just a thought for future games.
Well, I expected them to have Shadow Demons and I had no way to fight those efficiently. Making them an ally means I can even trade with them to accelerate my research. At that time I also expected them to be larger than this. However, with only that many cities, I can easily get ahead in research and can easily crush them if needed, although I expect the win condition to trigger after I conquer Myrror anyway.
As we've seen they do have the Shadow Demons spell, I don't know if they have any already summoned but they most definitely should. I never really scouted their garrisons since I wasn't planning to attack. Oh, and a maniacal death ally is a great thing to have. You can give them all the curses, and they'll pretty much defeat the enemy for you by casting them all on them. If the Myrran wizard happens to be difficult to beat, I'm probably going to do that.
