Elkad returned my peace offer. Before I accepted I took a look if he attacked my units near former Oasis and he didn't so I accepted. I really wonder why he didn't do that. My reasoning for taking the peace was as follows:
I could still try to damage Elkad further, but that's really hard with him having Engineering and moving around my units quicker. Last time I had tech vision on him he was also teching for guilds and I can't deal with knights right now.
Elkad actually attacked my scout killers near Liquid Flame, but it could have gone worth.
Thanks to my civic change I can finally finish construction next turn. I hope that I can get to Engineering in time before the next wave of knights comes around. Next goal is to use my trebuchets to take back Siren (Proximate Peril) from Shallow.
Maybe the three top players start hitting on themselves for a change, but I doubt it.

Shallow offered me ivory for marble I declined for three reasons:
- I already got ivory from Superdeath
- I can't build elephants, because of lack of Horse Riding
- I have enough happiness from monarchy right now.
But I returned him this cow, wheat for marble deal. I have much more need for healthiness right now. Oh and Exdeath is still the second biggest city with the 3rd biggest having 5 pops less.
Magic declared war on Superdeath. Very interesting. I'm curious to see what will happen there, but unfortunately I don't have a scout there, so I must rely on civstat.

T176 and T177:
I had to play last in T176, hence the double turn report. Not that much happened in those turns. My worker finished in Liquid Flame and started connecting the iron again. The worker from Exdeath started on a cottage, but my peace treaty with Shallow only last 4 more turns, so I will switch him to a road in time so that I can attack and capture Siren back to my territory.
In T177 Elkad gained a Great Spy, either he got (un)lucky with the dice or he worked some spy specialist for a long time.

If I learned anything in my succession game, it's that those spy specialists tend to sneak up on unwary players.

So far the war between Magic and Superdeath was very calm from my perspective and no cities changed. But as of now Elkad joined in the war against Magic and took one of his cities.

Who's winning?
I totally forgot to do this:
- Shallow: He gained three of my cities in the recent war and that without any struggle for him, because I was defending against Elkad and Superdeath. As far as I see it he's clearly ahead in tech and cities. With me being no threat on the water, the southern sea is also free for him to explore and conquer. His biggest problem is the long border between him and Superdeath. It will be interesting to see how he will handle the war from Superdeath and Elkad against Magic. Will he join in the war like he did with me? Or will he take this chance to attack one of the other leading players?
- Elkad: I definitly made it harder for him to take advantage in the war against me. He destroyed Forza and managed to build 2 cities in that area, that are not that great. He finally has a bigger border with Superdeath, which could be deadly for Superdeath. He did get Guilds later then Superdeath and Shallow, but he has the buddhist shrine, which gives him tones of money and his wonders where better used. I think he's in front of Superdeath, because of more experience in the game and he's not destracted with 3 other simultaneous PBs.
- He gained a lot of momentum in the last 50 turns, but I also did try to make his time harder. The two cities he took from me are nice and will be useful, but they also opened up more borders with Elkad. His biggest problem is that he now has huge borders with the other two top players, while they only have one tiny border in former RFS territory. I think what will happen later is that Superdeath will be dogpiled by Shallow and Elkad. In addition he also will be in a struggle for the northen sea islands with Elkad.
- Magic: I think with this new war every chance of gaining any momentum is gone. He played a great game and defended admirably from the very beginning of the game. Now it will be a race between him and me to the bottom.
- Me: I'm a dead man walking, but I can still do some damage. I no longer have a border with Superdeath, but should I be able to take back Siren, he could think about attacking me again. But then again will he be able to hold his new positions, sandwiched between Me/Elkad and Shallow, I doubt it. This leaves only two real enemies. Liquid Flame would make a great city for both of them, but in the long run I see Shallow taking my capitol and maybe Wing Raptor.

Like I already mentioned Elkad declared war on Magic. This Sofia city was more or less in the middle of the screenshot.
While looking at Magic's situation I noticed something else. He has 4 deer and 2 silver. Where did he get that from? There's only one possible solution to this. He settled the astronomy island. I found a harbor in one of his cities so he really might have gone that way. That's just awesome I really like it.
Elkad settled Oasis again now named OasisTwo. You know what I should declare war and raze it again just so the city name counter rises.
But in more serious notes. I'm developing a plan to attack and reconquer Siren and Karlabos from Shallow. Our peace is up in 3 turns and Engineering is finished in 4. When it's done I will push for a quick attack on both cities. Right now there are only weak defenders. Maybe I have a chance to take something back from him and hurt him, too.

The turn started with an open border offer from Shallow, which I declined. I don't want him to see my army.
Shallow obviously is trying to benefit from being the last in the war against Magic like he did against me.
Magic's two iron mines are close to Elkad and Shallow's border so I offered him one of my newly connected iron resources for one of his many deer.
Shallow build a castle in former Karlabos, which makes any quick attack plans against the city impossible, but I should be able to take back Siren. I don't see him building any quick castles there without any good hammer tile.

The turn started with this Sugar for Corn deal from Shallow. I'm not really in need of happiness right now, but I did accept it, just to give Shallow a false peace.
Shallow took former Lhasa from Magic right on the border of Elkad. That could be a good move for the future. Also Superdeath dropped out of the war without gaining anything significantly.
All is ready for the attack on Shallow. Right now he's also building a plantation on the banana north of former Siren, which will be finished before I attack. Nice, because I still don't have calendar. No reason to get that tech right now with only the spice and sugar to be connected and enough happiness from HR.
