I have a bold plan in place, to possibly switch over to a settler when the cap hits size 3, and chop it out while using the scout as a spawn buster near the city 2 site.. Do i risk it?

2nd city will finish TGLH by turn 75 i think.. if not sooner. Ill have to test it out once i get bronze working.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Sweet mother of pearl.. we have hit the mini-jackpot for 2nd cities. Copper has been located just north of the city location i picked out! Im going wheel-sailing-masonry then likely pottery. The 2nd city will go barracks-lighthouse-TGLH as soon as it can. Turn 50 TGLH? Maybe.. ill check when i get a bit more time. 6 forest's roughly to chop though!

Nothing really all that exciting going on yet, got a mini plan for the worker with him chopping the forest, mining the gold, and following the settler to the copper to begin mining it, HOPEFULLY the same turn its settled. Going Barracks-Lighthouse-TGLH in the 2nd city with the cap supplying a warrior followed by worker, settler, then maybe a workboat or warrior depending on 2nd cities culture. All i hope is im not deadlast to 2 cities.

Well, OH is first to 2 cities last turn i believe, and that makes me rather slow to 2 cities with mine coming in 5-6 more turns.. Im hoping the quality of my 2nd city and the gold in my cap help out my long term plans.

Still nothing exciting going on, Settler will pop next turn and settle 2-3 turns after that. I plan on running a strict farmers gambit with only fog busting/minimal garrison. TGLH is the main target, but after getting pottery/writing going for Metal Casting even if just for the forges, isnt a bad idea.. Might use the first GS to bulb alpha again... depends on if i grab currency b4 bottoming out.

Im proud of my on-the-fly micro. Worker finished the gold mine this turn which ( before i revolted ) put me tied for #1 in gnp. The worker will move next turn to the copper mine, and the following turn will be able to mine it as the settler is on the copper mine now, and will settle in two turns ( damn forest ).
I did a little bit of artwork to showcase my chops going forward for two key wonders.
TGLH= blue.
Colossus= red.
I believe i should have TGLH in the bag, as im bee-lining for it. Im not quite running to Metal casting as i want to get cottages setup or maybe a library first. Going to be using the warrior to fogbust while Black Lotus makes another worker to chop those forests into another settler. Afterwhich it will be joining the copper mine worker in chopping/pre chopping the 2nd cities forests. Im expecting 20ish turns on TGLH currently. Maybe 50 or so on a Colossus attempt. Hooking up the copper, but might not road it yet to get some cheap warriors for fogbusting. Going to run a tight farmers gambit and hope i dont get bit!

Still 2nd in GNP, with no 2nd city yet. Not that GNP matters all that much in the early game, gotta push food.. but i wont be able to for a little while. Hoping i can risk a major wonder+ REX w/o a land neighbor to deal with. If i do, i might have to just connect the copper and keep them away with axes. Hoping it wont come to that.
Everything is set to begin the copper mine+ 2nd city next turn :D

...then why not settle city 2 with the cows first ring? You would settle the city on the same turn. If you settle SE and have both food first ring you only lose one forest for chopping but the city is certain to grow much faster. If you just want the cows first ring then settling S of your current target puts 8 chops in the city's BFC.
Or, taking this from the other side, what is your explanation for settling on the forest to get the copper first ring? I double-checked your traits (FIN/IND) before posting. You aren't going to have an easy time popping borders so what's the plan here?

yeah... i completely overlooked all of that, as i was so pumped to have microed the worker to be able to start the copper mine the same turn as the founding.. I took a good 10min thinking it over and couldnt understand why i would waste a forest like that vs going one south. Soo.. yeah.

Chopping a barracks for culture for the extra forests + clam. Plan is for that worker to chop-pasture cow- chop lighthouse-chop TGLH. Black Lotus worker will pop in 2 turns, and will begin chopping the two forests into the settler, and then it will follow the settler to the west and start on the cow there. Another worker is going to be built after that settler to go help chop, followed by a workboat/warrior. After that, warrior/worker/settler out of the cap and some scouting workboats out of the 2nd/3rd cities if warriors for spawn busting/garrison isnt needed.
