[Spoilers] Shallow Thought and Hitru's series of (unfortunate?) events

Superdeath has moved on Elkad's cap - but we now have OB with the latter. Next turn could be interesting. We think we have enough forces to hold Malepartus and hit that stack. Our count says SD can't capture the cap in one turn, and Elkad agrees, having moved hitters back out for a counter.

All else is secondary. We have planted Wide Window one off-the-coast north of Hillz. We have pillaged SD's gems (our gems Argh !), hopefully making his happy situation even worse, and set up to do the same to his gold near Green Lantern (he has another source near Schilda, but has yet to mine it, and it's not terribly safe either). We killed a worker with an axe near Black Panther, and ... actually, we ducked the chance to burn Loki with an axe at 68%. Next turn it's certain, even if he reinforces, as we can spare a decent stack of cav/cuirs. Death by a thousand cuts ... unless he gives us our chance next turn. Let's hope: demos and score may say we have this sewn up, but it certainly doesn't feel that solid from this seat.

Reporting may be about to take a dive, as I'm off on holiday in a couple of days and Hitru ("the Silent" shhh ) will be taking over turn-playing. Will see how the Wifi holds up.

To give brief update, turn was a titanic success. We (or I in this case, ST is on a well deserved holiday. So if something went wrong it's on me) managed to destroy that whole stack SD had in Elkad's territory. It had clearly attacked last turn as most rifles were damaged, softened them further with our cats and send cavalry in. Had a good luck, won multiple 70% battles in a row. The power difference between us and SD is about 800k now.

We also captured Loki, but could not burn it (there was a clash of axe vs impi involved...) so we/I decided not to sack any units there, SD can take it back if he wants to.

Did not pillage that gold yet as SD guarded it with 2 rifles and cav. Will probably hit it next turn, I hope SD will reinforce with more units to let cats do more collateral.

Awesome! You killed 30 rifles? What were your losses like?

We lost about 10 cat, 1 treb and maybe 5 cuirs. So it was really good hammer exchange.

Had to use GG to give 9 cuirs pinch for better odds.

I should go on holiday more often lol .

Wifi is a bit rubbish here ... which is a shame as I'd love to be keeping closer tabs on this.

Quiet turn, pillaged gold from SD sending his happy further down. This dropped his mfg and crop to 300, we have about 625 in both. Things are looking good. We got astro and started our astro expansion, first cities in 2 turns.

Top priority is to defend our area and force SD to attack with his 1 movers. At this point he probably should make peace with Elkad, lets hope Elkad is angry enough not to give it.

Really glad we won. We sure made some errors on the way but kept ourselves competetive. And big thanks to ST for playing with really limited support while I had 4 pitbosses going simultaneously. In case you wonder, that's definitely too many at the same time. smile

What I wondered for most of the game is, why you didn't attack SD sooner? Before the dogpile against me SD's only iron was in Deadpool directly on your border. And you both shared a long border, which was ripe for tension.

Im hoping they didnt attack me sooner due to my #expert defense?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."
