Thanks Charriu!  I’m flying back home today, so will lock in my decision within the next 10 hours.  I am pretty sure I’ll be gong with Catherine of Zulu as that’s a hella good roll.

Willem is good too, but I have this personal problem re: city count that needs to be addressed.  So IMP is exactly what the doctor ordered.  And CRE opens up my prospects for city planning.

The Zulu, well.  I did squander their early game advantage in PB27 by not expanding, but I don’t have that excuse anymore with these traits.  I’ll post more a bit later.

Seeing that some players had problems setting up their sims, I decided to provide everybody with an accurate sim.

Thanks, Charriu! This was super helpful to confirm my opening moves were the way to go.

The one thing I did notice is that there was no Workboat available from T0, which was added for this mod. I got around it but putting hammers into an Ikhanda and placing the boat via the Worldbuilder once it was due.

No worries on my side because I won't be going that route anyway, so it won't affect my sims. I'd much rather get BW at T22 and have two cities with garrison at T28 going Worker first! I'll post more details later.

Turn 4

Here is what I have scouted so far.  I already love the prospects of this view, with 4 viable city sites already visible (6 if I want to crowd the capital).  Also plenty of Luxuries to go around, including the elusive Whale (he thinks we don't see him, but oh yes, we do).  I am eager to avoid the mistakes of the past and so won't be growing tall for awhile, but these will eventually be waiting for me when I do.

And here are demos FWIW (not much right now).  Someone is at 4 hammers, so they are either missing Flood Plains while building their Worker or planning a Warrior rush.  I'll need to be vigilant, but a second Scout was not yet part of my 30-turn plan.

Here are my planned opening moves

T0 - start Mining, build Worker, use Flood Plains
T8 - Mining discovered, start on BW (est. T22)
T12 - Worker complete (farm Corn), start Warrior (2hpt), keep Flood Plains for now
T16 - Wet corm farmed - work it (no change to BW estimate!)
T17 - Move to hill for Mine
T18 - Size 2, begin Mining hill
T19 - Warrior Built, start 2nd Warrior
T21 - Mine complete
T22 - Size 3, BW complete on time, start Fishing, worker to forest
T23 - Warrior complete, start Settler, start choppin'
T25 - Chop complete
T26 - Whip Settler (s3 to s2), worker to new forest to whipe Workboat
T28 - Settle second city
T29 - Discover Fishing

That's it for now.  Racing a forced update to my laptop......
