He took the city back and killed or damaged many of my horsemen with relatively few losses and whipped a spear Should have just razed and replanted it but I got greedy. Net result is that we both lost about the same amount of units but I delayed him more and got some gold from the capture. I also whipped more so it is a loss/loss.

My military is too beat up at the moment to push this so I'm offering him white peace.

The war continues at low intensity as SD declined white peace but does not whip that much. He made a small push towards my eastern cities. I scouted his roading workers and repositioned my HA last turn. This turn I killed his stack of 1 horse and 4 war chariots (highly promoted) with no casualties in a stroke of exceptional luck. He has a promotion advantage over me. I should have built barracks at some point this game but there was never the time for it.

SD is teching towards monarchy which does not feel that threatening. I have used the plunder gold to tech math and I am now on the path to currency. There in 8 turns or so unless the war heats up. Next CoL for courthouses. Then I will plant some iceball cities.

That stack was a decoy and he took one of my cities. Well played but it cost him a lot.

I have had a hard time with no metal units against his spears when it is mostly cavalry. He can take my cities but I can not take his. He lately razed my other front city which was just about to pop its border to prevent such a an attack. Well timed there as well.

I am now left with 4 cities half way to currency and he is teching construction. It is looking very grim.

On the upside this war as been very fun to play, much more so than if he had waited for construction. Thanks for that SD!
