Well, I thought you'd be back tonite, but apparently not. Anyhow, after you left, I decided maybe we should have a chat with Carthage about our boarders. (I'll watch SJA tomorrow... really)
I'm not so worried about that one spot with Krill. It's a so so spot, and it's just one spot. I went into the chat with the idea of firming up our stake in red dot and, to my amazement, it seems that not only did they plan to settle almost the same spot, but they had serious designs on poaching part of our pigs spot!
You'll want to read the chat. IMO, no way in hell do we give up our stake in Orange Dot. I don't think that's negotiable. I really hate the idea of giving up our stake in Red either. It IS closer to our cap than theirs by a couple of tiles... but it might need to be sacrificed for the greater good? I dono. See what you think.
Btw, is it just me, or do we have the most compact build of any civ out there? Sure seems like it.

New (still-being-worked-on) microplan posted on page one. I'll try to log in and make some suggestions on the incoming axes, but I should note that we would likely be in no better position (likely worse) if we hadn't moved Krant; he was fogbusting nothing where he was (thanks to the border pop at Mali's new city) and rapidly repositioning to bust fog again might have put him right in the axe's path (a shock chariot still tends to get killed if the axe is attacking *it*).
Chariots are *not* vaporware, by the way - not if they're Sentries or Medics. Any chariot built out of [EDIT: Pride Rock] can take either promotion right away.
Also: Ugh, Krill has proposed "stop trading with Byz" via the AP. This has the frustrating effect of preventing me from seeing what's going on in-game. [EDIT for explanation: Because I didn't want to make a snap decision on my own and didn't have enough time to both consult/think-about the vote, no matter how pointless, and look around.]

Moving the chariot last turn didn't matter. Had we moved it again THIS turn, and then a barb showed up, well...
Hopefully we can get that mace soon. He'll be a boon over there with all those hills.
BTW, the holk won w/o a (further) scratch, but only got 1XP, so we need him to find 2 more warriors to kill to get 10XP. Cross your fingers.
For naming the Holk's I suggest we go with the Cat in the Hat Comes Back and use The Cat in the Hat, Little Cat A, Little Cat B etc.

You know, I think we can let them have that spot above Kilrah, but no way in hell can they have that pig. It's twice as close to our capital as theirs. If they get insistent, I think we get nasty, threaten to raze any city they put there, and see what PAT thinks.
I think this would be a generous landsplit on our part, what do you think?

You going to be able to play the turn before you go or do you need me to?

The map you suggest is both generous and acceptable, assuming those city spots you marked for them are ones they mentioned to you.
New microplan posted on the first page. I'm going to finally try to have a look at the game now as well....

The spot above red dot that I drew in for them was mentioned. The copper/wines site is where I would put a city were I them. THEY want to put a city 2N of the eastern pigs so it gets the pigs and the corn. I say no way in hell. They say have to because they need a 2 food city because they have no 2 food cities and they want a 2 food site for a drafting city. I say fine, move the city to get the corn and the cows. If they don't like that, then screw them. Those are our pigs. Do you agree?
EDIT: I'm not even sure we should let them have that site above Red, honestly. It's 2 tiles closer to us than it is to them, but I feel like them poaching the pigs is an act of war.
They suggested we put a city over on a flood plain for gods sake. Do they think we are idiots? Not to mention that it would have horrific amounts of overlap with the iron city, which they could see if they looked.

I agree with all that's said. Worse comes to worse, PAT probably will back us up. From what I see, England and Krill probably us, Mali us, Babylon us. Carthage will not attempt something severe as this, IMO. I say the dot map is good but take the improved red dot from them. As for no 2 food resources, I have to call a) bull or b) play better civ, because the map honestly wasn't that bad. As for settling on a flood plain...
I think talk to them, and try to race out a settler ASAP to hit improved red dot.

Let's be patient, okay? Pink-dotting a city that steals those pigs from us would be an act of war. I don't see any sign in the chat that they plan to do so. Saying, "Oh, we need that site, it's our only [insert excuse here] site, never mind that it's right on your door step" is standard diplomatic procedure for a lot of teams. Let's not get angry and unhappy about stuff they haven't done and (I have every hope and expectation) won't do in the end.
ALSO: I'm playing the turn now. Any requests? (England has funded us for the turn)

I'm willing to let them have their red dot if necessary, which is a silly location. Why wouldn't they put it where ours is? Yes, it has one tile of overlap, but, overall, it's he same tiles, and it's on the river for extra health, and it can build a levee for production. However, poaching the pigs would be an act of war in my book.
