That's right. I just wanted to point out that my post couldn't hold any spoiler information, because I just don't know any spoiler. smile

Turn 59

Whipped in a worker in DeliciousDish. Next turn, whip a terrace in AllThings, CarTalk goes worker->settler unless I change my mind.

Settler in WaitWait in 2 turns, settle for stone in 3. PeterSagal is chopping that tile right now.

Sailing in 3 (am working some a lake to get that)

The world seems pretty stable right now. no one is jumping in power, the wars have gone cold.

It has occurred to me that I have made a mistake with my dotmap, that AllThings should almost certainly have gone on the horse. Why? Well, because it has a ton of food and cannot share the corn or the fish, so I'll be happy constrained and won't be able to work either the fish or the corn at the cap when building pyramids.

I might be able to get around that by growing above the happy cap and then pop-whipping the pyramids late. My understanding is that you get 1/2 hammers with a pop whip of a great wonder, so a 5 pop whip would be 55 hammers. Certainly, after pyramids is built, All things can be my settler/worker pump. I figure I'll still need at least 4 more settlers, maybe 6 after pyramids (2 more down south, green, purple, and the ivory tile on the peninsula. Maybe the fur tile if mr cairo doesn't settle it.

One thing I should note - Mr Cairo had a double whip, which I presume is a forge in his capitol. Next turn, I presume he'll make an engineer, which means I have till about turn 94 to build pyramids. There's no guarantee he'll build them, but I think I'd prefer to not leave the temptation.

That's possible. I originally thought I could get it in the mid 80s - doing that is probably possible, but it requires math chops and 2 workers. I can get it in the late 80's without chops and only needing 2 workers for a short period - the difference being that it takes longer to get stone hooked up than I thought it would.

Krill might be building them, too, and he might well be ahead of me, but I doubt it - his power has been going up, he's at war and I have an extra city. But that doesn't really matter - I can only build them as fast as I can build them, unless I want to burn tons of forests pre-math in WaitWait... and I don't.

Turn 60, another round number

Superdeath founded his 4th city - well, the 3rd city he founded.

That gives:
AT - 5
Krill - 4
Superdeath - 4
Mr Cairo - 3, plus oracle.
GKC - 2
Ruff-Hi - 1

DeliciousDish made PeteSchweddy, who is off to cottage the grass forest SE of the city.
CarTalk made AriShapiro, who is cottaging the 2nd floodplain.    I vastly prefer cottaging FP to anything, mainly because it's faster.
PeterSagal has started to chop the tile for gold.
Clack has moved to road a forest and then will mine/road a hill.

WaitWait pops out a settler next turn and will settle in 2 turns.  PeterSagal will start quarrying the stone the next turn and will finish 6 turns later.

City summary:

That goes to 6 soon smile

I have 1 more axe in WaitWait 2 turns from being completed.  I am a little under workered, but I think I'm ok - OnPoint doesn't need any workers and the island city can live without getting it's crap ice hill mined for awhile, so 5 for 4 cities is ok.    I'll have 3 workboats, for AllThings, Island and the whale for OnPoint.  The 4th will come from DeliciousDish with the chop/cottage.

Demos look awesome:

Sailing in 2.   Right now, writing and math take 26 at 50% (which is break even).  I hope to get that down to about 20 turns overall.    Dunno if that can happen.

Or, maybe I go for IronWorking, to settle purple.

Question: Anyone want more graphs pictures? I don't think they are very interesting - number of cities pretty much tells the story right now.

Turn 61

settle gold next turn.

That's the spot. Gets me stone. It will build terrace first.

Started Pyramids in AllThings.  Should finish in about 30 turns wink  I honestly have no idea if this is a good idea or not - Pyramids is good and I have the extra city and I'm spiritual, which makes it better.   The fail gold is nice if I lose, I suppose.

WaitWait went to temple.   I have to pay attention to when the axe is going to start losing hammers - it might be before the temple finishes, I have to look.

Looks like someone is researching writing.  I'll figure out who next turn.  Guessing Krill or Mr Cairo.

So far, I've been dominating the game with IMP and cheap granaries.  Now is when other civs start getting cheap shit - Krill gets fast great people.    Mr Cairo has cheap forges.

Turn 62, a city planting paradise!

So far, two people have played and 2 have planted cities.  me and Mr Cairo.   And so did GKC. nice turn!!

My new city, OnlyAGame, as far as I know the only sports show on NPR.   My plans for it are basically to just get stone.   It will grow slowly, as I expect it to take the gold in 2 turns after WaitWait makes a priest.   WaitWait will grow to it's dom limit, probably working cottages, then will get the gold back.   Might make a monastery.   Exactly what comes out after the axe I don't know - I have some thinking to do around military.

expenses are up more, of course.   Missed that I had unit costs - must of had them before.  Imp should be reducing that by 1 or 2.

With Sailing comes the ability to trade

I am guessing I am not connected to superdeaths capitol, since he doesn't show marble.

Mr Cairo has ivory, so good for him.

Krill, btw, is improving gems.  He's playing a strong game (obviously)

I'll post a map next turn - the center of the map is filling up.   I may go writing->iron working, so I can A) know where iron is and B) plant purple.

oh - and it is krill researching writing, btw.

Turn 64 (and 63)

I got all the graphs!!

Looks like Krill and GKC had an inconclusive, but bloody, battle.

it is a little weird that when I have graphs, I immediately get all the history, but when I lose them, I lose all the history.  Our intelligence service are idiot-savants, apparently.

This is the far east, or at least as far as I have gotten.

I played with field of view by accident.  Also, found a glitch.  that's a bug that doesn't matter at all wink

Freaked me out at first.  I had forgotten about it.

This is zoomed all out.  btw -  the slider goes off the bar at the high end there.   Bug?  weird, at least.  There is no practical effect to it, though.

Built a temple in WaitWait, made a priest.  OnlyAGame is working the gold. Gonna let WaitWait grow, make a couple of cottages.

Whipped the settler in CarTalk.  It will sit for a while waiting for the galley.

I should note that I just brought up a save in BUFFY, which is the CivFanatics GotM mod, it the field of view does the same thing there.
