Imo telling him that there's no turn split (which would be necessary) amounts to telling him the war is phony, so that's diplomacy. However implausible you attacking right now would be. Sorry

that's a good point. Well, maybe I'll DOW, pop in for a look, pop out and ask for peace, to keep the turn split down. Or maybe I'll just wait.

or maybe I'll send my chariot down to scout Superdeath. I really want to see if he has Keshik's or swords.

Turn 83, Pyramids gets more secure, power continues to go up in the world

Countdown:
3 turns to Pyramids (maybe 2, not sure about the chop - the forest is outside of culture so not sure how many hammers I get)
15 turns to I get a GP for the Shrine
8 turns to construction - 2 more on gold, then 6 to tech it.
something like 12 turns for moai, I'm not sure.  waayyy to many whips, though.  Dunno exactly what I'm gonna do there.
Need to figure out next settler.

Events

MrCairo pops St Augustus, a priest.  Dunno what he's doing with it - probably settling it, since he doesn't have a good tech to bulb.  He might be waiting to bulb theocracy or something.

Turn 84, Pyramids almost in!

Countdown:
1 turn to Pyramids (turns out that chop got me to exactly 500 hammers!!)
14 turns to I get a GP for the Shrine
7  turns to construction - 2 more on gold, then 6 to tech it.
Call it 11 turns to Moai
I'll probably whip the next settler (for the southern island) in AllThings, and that will take a while to travel, so call it 8 turns till the next city?


Power
Superdeath is still tops in power, with 163K.  I think he has 4 keshiks now.  I think I need to start grabbing some spears - I worry that he's going to give up on Ruff as a bad deal and come after me.  I did whip a spear into WaitWait, and WaitWait will build another after that - it's actually vulnerable to2 turn surprise attack that might not give me an opportunity to react.    Superdeath is volatile enough to DOW with a single keshik to check things out, or even his scout.  Having a spear or two for my 2nd most important city seems like a smart idea.

Found what I think is a bug!! (very minor, not affecting game play that I can see)

Well, as Meatloaf sang, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.  Course, that's 3 out of 4.   No one got conquered.

I got Pyramids!!

This is big for me.  One of the (very true) criticisms of my past games is that I tend to bounce around from thing to thing with no real plan.   Part of that is just not planning ahead and setting goals, part of that is doing stupid things and going to war a lot early, and indecisively. 

That I have executed a plan that I spent a lot of time thinking about makes me feel good.  Sure, a lot of it is because Superdeath crippled my nearest neighbor and wasn't next to me.     Anyway - I'm really excited about this.

One other thing shows up in that event log - Krill landed Judaism.  I didn't check to see if he switched into OR or not. 

I chose representation - I was surprised that it affected 5 cities - I thought it was less than that for a small map, but I guess not.  Time to grow some cities tall...

Looking south, the island may not be an island after all.

One thing I screwed up was my worker micro.  I sent a 2nd worker to help chop the last forest and it was totally unneccessary, just wasted 4 worker turns.    Bummer.

Some thoughts about OnlyAGame

Mainly, I expect this to take over some tiles from WaitWait in 10 turns to allow it to tun a bunch of priests for a later bulb.   Will set up a road, but will then farm that river tile and eventually cottage the other tiles.  Chop that forest, though.

Superdeath's power is extremely worrying.   He's popping out Keshik's like mad - either 5 or 6 by now.   I need more spears.

this is the mil overview view of the F1 tab.  The bug is that it says that CarTalk has a defense of 65%.  Not a big deal.

Turn 86

Krill, of course, did convert to org rel.  He is Hindu. 

I assume he's going to start whipping hard.  I'm guessing he eats GKC in the next 30 turns or so. 

Countdowns:

7 turns to Moai
13 turns to shrine
6 turns to construction (might be 5, I'm not sure).  I did not save enough money to run 100% and get construction, so I have another or maybe 2 of building money.  I might try to whip in a library in the capitol in a turn or two.   The 25% boost will help - also, being able to run a 6 beaker scientist instead of a plains hill, too.


This Turn:

I got a religion spread!! into OnlyAGame
Whipped the settler in AllThings.  that goes to a barracks and then military.
CarTalk goes from spear->library.  the spear sets up to reinforce WaitWait or move to DeliciousDish if necessary
One more spear in OnlyAGame and I think WaitWait and then my paranoia about an army of Keshik's dies down.  I get another culture pop in WaitWait soon, anyway.

That island down south is not what I thought it was.    It's bigger and has a river on it, which makes me wonder if it's actually mainland.  Of course, the river is on the ice  rolf , so is not all that useful. 
it is also near some silver, and Superdeath has a city near there...  so if it's not an island, it's pretty dangerous.  if it is, it's still pretty dangerous.    But I can't imagine Superdeath will like me plopping down a city that can take his silver away.    I might plop a city down, put a terrace and walls in, a couple archers and never let it grow to size 2.    Needs more exploration.  that settler looks like it's heading up the peninsula between me and Mr Cairo

I'm very happy about the micro in MorningEdition, particularly cause I thought I had screwed it up.

It has 8 hammers in it right now.   Running a citizen and getting 2 chops gives it 62 this turn, which completes the terrace with 25 hammers leftover... which doubles to 50 with stone for the walls!!

I guess I'll work the grass tile until I grow - I'll have one of the workers do that, while the other goes back up to DeliciousDish

OnPoint gets Moai in 7 turns.  I'm a little surprised, to be honest, but happy.   first thing it will do is build a galley with naval vision, which requires nav1 and nav2 (so, 3 moves and can see a long ways).  I'll use that to take a look into MrCairo's lands without him seeing.

Power/Demos

There's nothing new.  I'm not sure how Superdeath manages to add a new Keshik every turn - they ARE 50 hammers after all.  I'm no longer tops in mfg good - I assume Mr Cairo and his forges are #1.

Now THAT is exciting.   I think that's an island, still - I'll walk down to the silver to see.

If its an island, it will fit 2 cities, though one of them will suck.   Put it on the tundra hill the scout is on - still gets the clam, has the hill defense.
If it's not an island, I'll still put one there, but further back and i might not put a terrace in, all to keep it from SD.

There used to be 3 axes there - now there are 2, one of which is damaged.   There was more posting by ruff - my guess is that SD attacked and did not take the city.  

Presumably, some of the keshik's survived and will promote and he'll attack again next turn, probably succeed.

WaitWait will have 2 spears and an axe in it.  There's a spear north of the city that can move in and an axe south - 3 spear and 2 axes behind a 40% defense should hold off any stack more than 7, probably more than 8.    Things are getting interesting!!

I guess SD did not make a big attack?  I don't understand why SD has an injured unit.  I cannot imagine Ruff attacked out with archers.  Maybe someone traded him copper or horse?  I don't seem to have a trade route with him, so I don't know how he would be able to get those.

It's a mystery

What's not a mystery is the island down here.

It is perhaps an exaggeration to say that it's awesome, since it's mainly ice - but it's A) big and B) filled with resources - clam, fish, silver, fur kind of.  I can fit 3 cities in there if I choose and there may be more resources than I have seen.  

The key will be to set up down there without SD knowing, though he might well suspect considering that my scout disappeared.
