Since there's a chance that I won't see the game before I go off on holiday, can one of the people who did log in this turn let me know if I managed to grab the Space Elevator last turn, or if it got randomised away from me? It'll bug me a little all week if I don't know...
You got it. I check each turn

Of course the game goes down for the first time on my FIOS connection (6 weeks or so of uptime wasn't too bad) literally two hours after I leave for the airport to fly to Florida for a wedding.
I've called Verizon and they tell me the Optical Network Terminal isn't talking to them, so there are two possibilities here:
1) the terminal needs to be reset, which sadly won't be able to happen until Monday morning, or...
2) the fiber optic cable is unplugged because Verizon is finally burying me a permanent cable and removing the temporary one running along the surface of my and my neighbor's (!) yard. The timing suggests it may be this option since I called and bugged Verizon about this Thursday morning and because the service has otherwise been reliable.
If it ends up being option 2 you can expect the internet to return in a few hours. If it's option 1 than I'm very sorry the timing is so bad, but we'll have to reload back to today's turn on Monday.
Game still seems to be down, so I assume it was option #1.
Looks like Alex will need to redo his turn after the reload, and I'm playing after him, so with only about half the timer left it could be tricky. Can we leave it paused after the reload on Monday (and after each player) until we get through this turn, to make sure everyone has a chance to play after the reload?
Hope you had a good trip!
Thanks,
Munro

PB3 is back up, so PB1 probably is, as well, but it's been running constantly without player input for the last 36 hours or so. I'd suggest pausing it until sunrise returns home to reload to where you were before it quit.

Ok, when I reset the FIOS Optical Network Terminal the internet came back right away. However my roommate claimed he reset the ONT twice without effect, so who knows.... Anyways, Verizon tells me if the internet goes down again they'll send a tech out, so things should get resolved one way or another.
Regardless, I've reloaded to my login. My apologies for this technical issue. Also @Alex - Shame, you logged in again today despite being the last login before the connection went down.

Huh? Was that wrong? I usually move first in the turn...

Ugh! Although we were still up and running as of about 9:30pm EST last night (I went to bed early) we lost the connection again at some point between that time and 8:00am this morning. I've called Verizon and a tech will be at my place between 1:00pm-5:00pm EST tomorrow.

It's not something you would have known, but the pitboss app. makes a 'recovery' autosave whenever a player logs in, which can be useful to restore from, for example if that player makes a double move, or after a crash.
In this case you were the last person to play before the crash, so Sunrise would have used your recovery autosave, but since you logged in a second time before he got to do the reload (but after several turns had passed), he then had to go back to the previous player's autosave (his own in fact). It just means another person has to redo their turn that could have been avoided... if you'd known about it. It's a bit unusual anyway for the connection to go down but the game to stay up in the background... No big deal.

No problem... Thank you for all your efforts hosting the game - much appreciated!

Ok, RBP1 update:
Verizon made it out today after yesterday's no-show (!) and replaced a part in my Optical Network Terminal. The internet magically reappeared so it's possible there will be no more issues.
I have reloaded once again to my save from 1730AD.
Be advised however that Verizon has also finally set a date to come and bury my fiber cable after two months of suffering a temporary one laying on the ground. That's supposed to happen tomorrow. The only downtime SHOULD be when they unplug the old cable and plug the new one in - I'll leave the crew a note asking them to lay the cable before disconnecting either end if they can. However if the game is down tomorrow during the day you know the reason why.
Hopefully after tomorrow we can have, at a minimum, another uninterrupted month of service. My apologies once again for the technical snafus this week.

With less than an hour to go and three players (Alex, Munro, Regoarrarr) yet to play I've logged in and paused the game.
