Well, I'm bad at war. I mean, nothing happened, but SD moved his stack of Keshik's out and I've had to move my stack of HA to a place where he can see them to protect my cats.

Mr Cairo built ANOTHER wonder. I really feel like i have to attack him.

SD Dowed but did nothing, then asked for peace.

I killed his sentry keshik (losing an HA in the process) and then asked him for peace in return.

Looks like I'm attacking Mr Cairo - attacking into 3 promo knights doesn't sound like much fun.

Compass and harbors are next, then monarchy->feudalism.

So, I've picked up a Great Engineer.

I can:

1) Kick off a GA
2) Bulb something
3) Build a wonder
4) Delay for a different wonder

GA's are nice, but being SPI makes them less important. Whipping is still an effective way to get hammers and my demos are strong.
Bulbing is not so great for GE right now - the next interesting one is guilds and then gunpowder, both of which are a possibility, given that I want cuiraissers.

A wonder seems like a good idea - interesting ones are:

Taj
Sistine
Sankore

Taj is a long ways away - sure, its great, but I'm not sure it's worth waiting 30 turns for, when I can build Sistine now and get 30 turns of extra culture. No, I'm not going for a culture victory, but pushing SD and Mr Cairo's borders means I can do attacks out of the blue easier. I have a lot of borders with both.

Sankore is nice, but it's also a short ways off, and it's cheaper than Sistine, so easier to build. I'm going to go at least to Feudalism before Paper, cause not having LB when knights are around seems silly.

I think SD's target is Krill, since Krill is behind in tech - I have pikes and maces, so am a much tougher target.

This would be big for me - lots of religious buildings, lots of specialists.    Huge cultural pressure on SD and Mr Cairo.   Hopefully, I don't lose it because I didn't make up my mind (I could have built it last turn), but I doubt Mr Cairo has Music. 

I am hoping to open up a hill near TinyDesk, where I can plop down a city and pick up the fish and silver

Building a few harbors, then everything is back to units

I decided to put in a road near Earth.   SD does not like that, I think



that's a lot of catapults.   That said, he better reinforce Earth or I'll burn it when the peace treaty is up.    I'm sure he will reinforce it, but i have a stack of about 8 HA.   (Earth currently has 1 spear and 1 axe - 40% defense, but enough HA will take it out)

I think I can hit it with a couple of 3-move galleys out of the fog and drop in enough defense that it's tough to take back.    But man...  doing a small injury is bad and I have SD to piss off more

I seem to have found a bug, which may affect game play.



if you note, this shows total cpt as 12.

I have sistine, and if you add up all the culture and add religion, it should be 26.  This might be because I just got sistine, but I do get the bonus for specialists.

I dunno if this is just cosmetic or what.  My total is 505.  I'll see what it is next turn.

Thanks, please let me know next round what it shows. I suspect it only to be a GUI bug and not actually gameplay.

Yeah - this even might be something from the base game, a quirk on how the wonder works.

In game news:

Peace treaty with SD continues, so I moved my worker back. Nothing like putting down a road to make an opponent nervous I can now hit 2 cities out of the fog (Earth and Mars), which is nice.

He has produced at least one knight. I'm 5 turns from Feudalism, running 30% science (which gives me enough gold to upgrade 1 unit a turn) I have a vision chariot in mr cairo's land. He might kill it when the treaty runs out. If so, I might just stay at war and pillage his seafood.

Haven't rolled the turn in awhile.

The "bug" I mentioned has resolved itself. I am guessing that culture is applied to a city before wonders are produced and the numbers are just cosmetic. The correct culture was added between turns.

MrCairo is saving up GP for some reason. He's got a priest and an engineer.

Switched by to OR, for aqueducts, harbors and cathedrals.

2 turns to Feudalism, then I think Paper for Sankore, then guilds->banking for mercantilism. Optics should go in there, too.

Also, making a settler. There's a spot north of Titan that I can settle. They are cheap, so why not?

Good to hear that the correct culture was added. I assume that the GUI is still showing the wrong numbers?
